The Hayride : PA Residents Sue Fracking Company Over Drinking Water Contamination

I watched it, and it's very dramatic.____What is it about an actor utilizing a script prepared by a writer seeking drama, using special affects from a team of specialists, that establishes instant credibility?

That is among the allegations, along with the presence of heavy metals alleged to be from the fracking fluids. It is generally being dismissed in a manner consistent with your conclusion.

The Hayride : St. James Lands Nucor Facility

An excellent point indeed, Ryan. There are enormous numbers of capital projects sitting on shelves around this nation awaiting certainty in the business climate, and many of us in the engineering and construction community are anxiously awaiting its release on or about November 3. On a related note, it will be important that those of us in the new media community remind voters in 2012 that it was NOT President Obama's policies that set that capital free and provided the resulting economic turnaround.

The Hayride : Delaware: What A Difference One Night Makes

My thoughts on this post have little to do with Christine O'Donnell and much to do with Karl Rove. As I"ve said to you before, perhaps privately, Rove is seen as the "architect" of the Bush presidency, and thus as the "architect" of much that placed the Democratic Party in such powerful positions while destroying the Republican Party. The Tea Party is redefining the Republican Party in an image far from Rove's legacy. He needs to sit this election cycle out.

As with the GZ mosque, the issue is not the Constitution, but what is right regarding people's sensitivities. Burning a few Korans will do nothing to improve the volatile state of the planet, but rather will worsen it. Christians need to demonstrate Christian virtues

The Hayride : On That Horrid Daily Caller Piece...

This post reminded me of a conversation I had recently with Walter Abbot of Lincoln Parish News Online, wherein he said that he doesn't accept any advertising so as to preclude such accusations. It gave me pause to think. I don't write to please advertisers, political or otherwise. I write to inform and to analyze what I learn as an avowed "news junkie." I trust that advertisers who like what I say, or who believe readers who like what I say will like what they''re selling, too, will follow those readers to this site. But the ads are an effect, not a cause, of what I write.

Has it occured to you that the trends shown by the data cited are indeed the direction Obama thinks the country should be moving? Unemployed masses dependent on a massive government are consistent with his vision. Thankfully most of us don't share that vision.

The Hayride : Caddell: A Tidal Wave Is Forming

Megan / Martha? It's a coin toss. Caddel? If not for Martha, I'd have just listened to the audio. Seriously, this is earth shaking. My concern is that Conservatives will hear so much of this that they'll become complacent, while Democrats will hear it and get fired up. Conservatives must take this tidal wave to the polls on November 2.

The Hayride : Those Damned Republicans

Mark, Your commentary is consistently as negative as the Republican Party is accused of being. As is often asked of them, have you nothing constructive to offer? Of course we don't need RINO's like the ones you listed to continue in their destructive ways. Others in the Party are hearing the conservative message and moving toward it, which is much preferred over a divisive third party splitting the vote and allowing leftists to remain in power. Join the fight, my friend, rather than finding fault in everything you read regardless of it's posturing.

The Hayride : The Senate Energy Bill

I wish to apologize to readers who have realized that this post pertains to the House legislation responding to the Gulf oil spill rather than the pending Senate bill alluded to by the title. When I posted it was late, I was tired - but that's no excuse for the error. Having said that, I stand by my assessment of the bill. It stinks.

The Hayride : GOP "Mediocracy" Aims At Holding True Talent Down

The GOP is still perceived by many to be the party of Bush as well as the party of "no." Without engaging in substantive discussions, how can they convince the electorate otherwise? Many voters are opposed to maintaining the status quo, but they're not convinced the GOP is any less that than are Democrats. Boehner needs to put the young, intelligent new and emerging leaders front and center, and hide such as Bush's "architect," as he is lacking in credibility regarding fiscal responsibility, and hide John McCain, and muzzle Lindsay Graham.

The Hayride : THEY WON'T LISTEN

Of course they won't listen. For Obama to listen, he would not only have to swallow his enormous pride and arrogance, but he'd have to overlook the ideology that runs his life, and forsake George Soros who made him what he is. The speech you'd like to hear needs not only to be spoken, but enacted. No oil or gas, or products thereof, leave the state, and no importation of raw materials or refined goods pass through. Let the rest of the nation power their cars and industry with "birds and bees, and flowers and trees."

Re 7-15 at 3:30, "'Bout friggin' time," indeed. Now I predict that if the plug holds for 36 hours, by the time the 48 hour evaluation period is over the media will be gone and Obama/Salazar will congratulate each other for having done such a superlative job, and they'll deem the crisis over. The recovery and clean up will be relegated to local media outlets, and the nation will forget.
