9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Users still seeing their battery life drain quickly after this morning's 5.0.1 update

Same here! There were definitely issues with battery life, but not as much as others had to face it. Still noteworthy though. With 5.0.1. it seems like there is a definite improvement :)

Not saying, Ive and Forstall are going to leave Apple because of Cook being CEO, just sayin this thing with a hard relationship isnt the hottest rumor...

I do not have any evidence and obviously I don't know, but didnt this thing came up in this Scott Forstall round-up a few weeks ago on 9to5mac? With the Forstall-50 Cent pic. Didnt the report also mention a very tense relationship between Ive (and was it Mansfield?) and Forstall. It said, that they cannot be in the same room together if Tim Cook isnt present...

Steve Jobs pushed products and ideas because HE feeled like it is a good improvement, a better product. Not HOW he is going to sell it. Steve Jobs-Apple was certainly different than many other companies. First creating a product they felt was the best and then thinkin about how to sell it. While it seems unusual, it really isnt. You cant convince as many people with consumer statistics as with your own passion for the product/idea/whatsoever. That Tim Cook quote is alarming and I hope it wont be Apple's agenda for the next time. Make the best product and then put idk Ive on stage during a keynote to sell it, he seems like a passionate enough guy, rather than some CFO...

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Apple announces Steve Jobs has passed away

There is not much one can say in such sad times. Steve changed the world for the better and his spirit will not only affect Apple for the rest of time being, but all of us. To his family, friends, colleagues, former employees and fans: Let us not mourn the death of Steve, but rather cherish his life. Let us not be sad when we remember that Steve is not among us anymore, but rather be grateful for him. Let us not feel pain when we look at our Mac, iPad, iPhone or iPod, because we just thought of Steve, rather be happy that Steve lived. Let us not mourn about his tragic fate. Let Steve be the brightest beacon of light and the greatest single evidence that if you believe in something you should go for it. To Steve.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Apple unveils the iPhone 4S

If you dont understand the analogy or wont understand it there is nothing i cant do. I tried to show you that I indeed think of the iPhone 4S as a extraordinary smartphone. The best one that'll be out there. My analogy was used to show the way I feel about iP5 and 4S, of course one can always switch it around. I did not compare 4 with 4S so either stay with me or just let it go dude. And the fact that I do enjoy a design change from time to time doesnt mean Im all about status symbols. If you feel the need of instant proselytization thats your thing, but let a guy mourn for a second, to get down from his (obviously unrealistic) hopes and see what hes offered... :D And the fact that I choose an analogy with engines to clearify my point of view about outer appearance shouldnt confuse anybody that much to go ahead and call me confused lol.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Let's talk Siri: iOS app is a goner, the trouble in Canada, Siri hacked to run on the A4 iOS devices

Idk if it was this site here or another, but one simply sentence that I read says it all: Siri will help you to get things done [whenever you cant get your hands onto your iPhone]. imo nail to the head! I dont expect to say a bunch of fanboys/girls walking around town and asking their phones all kinds of stuff...that would be indeed downright awkward. But in the car or jogging or with your hands full? Siri will take it from there and its only going to become better!

Your ideas remind me about the I, Robot...where they speak with the robots on a conversational level. Obviously it is still a (quite) long way to such a reality, but Apple definitely presented the biggest step towards it we ever saw in mass consumer electronics. I think Assistant is going to be huge. Especially to be able to write/dictate quick messages...

Like I already said in my previous comment, I am GOING TO BUY the phone. I think its awesome and the specs are great, yet I don't feel the same about the phone as if it'd be an iPhone 5 with new design (maybe even a larger screen and "new" home button). Thats what I mean. And yes I am disappointed that it is not an overall new iPhone. However the disappointment is limited. Its like if you ask for a car with 1000 hp and all you get is a car with 700. You're still going to destroy all the competition out there, just not as flashy as it would be with a 1000 hp car. So and now im done explaining myself. Thanke you ;)

well you're right on that one. yet, the entire time I thought that it cant be (only) an evolutionary update since it took 16 months...i'll still buy the phone since i didnt get the IP 4...idk. I was just hoping for a redesign. lets put it that way: if the 4G LTE phone comes out in a year, thats cool and i will be more than happy with my 4S, but if they release a new iPhone 5 anything earlier that 10 months I wont be able to shake the feeling that i got ripped off. :D
