Big Hollywood : 'Smallville' is Breaking My Heart

Being secure in one's beliefs have very little to do with this. When I perceive the political jibes on a show as an insult, I turn it off. My viewing vote/dollars are the only way to register my dissatisfaction with being portrayed as evil for the simple fact of my political beliefs. What other recourse would you suggest? The writers can put any kind of dialogue or scene into the show they like, but I am not obligated to watch it. It isn’t some kind of higher moral standing or maturity to simply sit there and take it. We aren’t talking about a political debate, its entertainment. And the fact that the show was apolitical in the past and was a simple silly superhero drama I could enjoy that suddenly decided to employ less-than-subtle political hackery is indeed a punch to the groin.

Oh yes. Because the show was completely devoid of liberalism up until that point. There is a difference between getting involved in a show with a different point of view and trying to appreciate the artistic feel and letting someone hit you in the nuts with a sledgehammer again and again.

I detected the stronger liberal taint and by the second episode of the season and I stopped watching. Glad I did.

Big Hollywood : 'The Walking Dead’: Populated with Racist Southerners & Dumb Characters

Wow. This couldn't be more wrong. Were you bitten by a zombie before you wrote this? Given your ideas of what a zombie movie/show/book should be, my suggestion would be stick to playing Left4Dead and the rest of us will enjoy this wonderful show.

Big Hollywood : In Its Final Season 'Smallville' Rips Conservatives

Bingo. I was looking forward to seeing the show wrapped up, despite some of the annoyances but after two episodes of the anti-conservative politics, I stopped.

I just don't find it easy to forgive a show who had a character travel back to Nazi Germany, put on the suit of a SS officer and take a segment to point out it has a McCain/Palin button on it.

Two Nolte reviews in one weekend! That's what I've missed at Big Hollywood. The world feels right again.
