The film was PG-13, but several people in attendance including myself had to several teens to "shut the f*ck up". The gothic looking teens obviously were extremely high and were giggling and talking during the entire film. I never wanted to tazzers someone so bad until today. The big money makers are those that take the audience away from the harsh reality outside of the theater for two hours. The same applies to the movies "9" and "The Road". I'm not trying to say these won't be good films, but they would all be better received in a year when the economy is doing well. The major ingredient that made the Batman reboot work was the music . If WB had invested some more time and money into the musical score for Salvation the film would have moved along smoother and added that extra element that has made good films into great films. Outside of Sam Worthington and Kyle Reese's character the supporting cast absolutely bombed in Salvation. It was really hard to identify with Common or JC's pregnant wife. I will give major props to WB and McG for doing a great job on the CGI and action scenes. The Arnold cameo was a crowd pleaser for sure.
