I'm afraid to even ask...., especially if the Facebook rumor is true. I love this site but please don't make me sign up on Facebook to continue posting. Don't you read New York Magazine? - lol. BTW: several of the links to the right are no longer in business apparently, such as Braves Journal, Ball Wonk, Fishstripes, etc. Not a complaint, just thought I'd let you know.

Overnight? So you're saying employees added their names ('cause it can't be fans if it happened overnight). And if it was employees, how do they still have a job there? And if this rendition of facts is true and you are reporting the truth - thanks for the info. This story has taken on a life of it's own....

According to Mike F. on WFAN, Jay NEVER called it graffiti. He said the signature had to go, but never called it graffiti. This story is starting to take on a life of it's own....

+10. Especially the last sentence. I don't think Doc meant any harm, I don't think they can encourage writing on walls, I do think they need to pay attention to the fans overall sentiment on this one. The Wilpons tried to do a good thing and should be proud of Citi field. However, as a 40+year fan, I too would like to see a little more attention paid to Met history at the field.

+1. I too voted SP. And not to mention they don't consistently pitch out of the 5th inning, the BP is going to start having issues.

I'm still trying to figure out if Matt meant that choice to be serious - the actual decor - or if it was meant to signify the fan voting for that had no real worries.....

Never mind the 22 fans who voted on the decor. I'd like to know who that one fan is that voted the BP as the biggest concern. The BP? Really? The only way I would have a concern with the BP is if they started going down with injuries - which would actually be a concern for any of the 25....

MetsBlog.com : Note: Mets to Erase Doc's Signature

I'm sure Doc thought he was doing something good as he was asked. The dropped ball here, in my opinion, was not having something to start with that honored the likes of that '86 team and the stars on it - other than the WS banner. Maybe if they had done that, Doc wouldn't have made the mistake of 'defacing' the brand new wall....

Seriously, who thought the Marlins would suffer a bit of a let down this weekend? They were playing the Nats, right? I fully expected them to take at least 2 f 3 from the Nats. Has anyone seen that BP this year? It's starting to make ours from a year ago look not so bad....

HA! And I didn't realize that 100 LOB was actually a real stat - thought he was exaggerating, trying to make a point. Come to find out, it's close to the mark. Yikes! Well, at least they're getting the runners on base. Sooner or later, the odds are they will start scoring more. Just hope it's sooner rather than later...

So frustrating to see a boatload of runners getting on but not getting them home. Hopefully, the offense will start clicking and they will start reversing that trend but watching in the meantime is so frustrating. No Runners Left Behind Act - good one. Needs to be the mantra right now.

I checked the roster on mets.com when they said Pelf would miss a start. Figgy was NOT on the 40 man roster, according to them. Niese, Knight, Kunz, Muniz and Robertson were - but not Figgy. Interesting that Gee isn't on the 40 man either.
