People just got bored of Hollywood politics and all the associated crap. Firstly, people who go to see movies don't care a whit about the actors', directors or producers' politics. They care only about a movie. These individuals are entitled to their opinions, they are entitled to talk about politics and to support candidates and their various causes, liberal or conservative, but when the industry which makes movies casts them or chooses a director according to an actor's or director's politics and not his or her ability, the public suffers because the movies are not as good as they could be. Likewise, if plots/scripts get bogged down in message politics, they are no longer art - they are propaganda.
