Tyner talks big, but I can read between the lines. He's whistling past the graveyard, because the far left just shot its wad with Occupy Wall Street and what was the result? Well ... nothing of consequence. No laws or corporate policies were changed, and the entire Astroturf movement wore out its welcome even with Democrat mayors. Tyner doesn't fool me. He's not confident -- he's scared to death that his government-sucking Teat Party is on the decline as taxpayers choose between higher taxes and greater benefits for "the 11%" ... the minority of workers who belong to labor unions.

I take issue with this paragraph on several counts, namely: 1. Amanpour is not "very good" in ANY role -- other than serving as a ventriloquist's dummy for the far left. 2. Audiences apparently aren't "gravitating toward" ABC's "This Week" regardless of who's hosting the program. Under Amanpour, the program went from third in the ratings to ... umm, third in the ratings. 3. I also question Amanpour's supposed "longing to do more field reporting." The standard spin-doctored excuse for people who step down from prominent jobs is that they wanted to spend more time with their family, pursue a different career track, return to a job they liked better, etc. It usually adds up to the same 7-letter word: FAILURE.

Incidentally, isn't it hilariously hypocritical that closet anti-capitalist Lennard is getting her freelance paychecks from -- gasp! -- an evil media corporation?

But the cops and FBI aren't always obligated to investigate when the so-called "victim" doesn't ask them to. Look at how many cases of wife beating are never pursued. Conversely, Weiner can't expect us to buy into his "I was hacked" story if he's not even willing to report the case to the authorities and cooperate in an investigation. Let's keep in mind that he knows very well that if he's lying, a false report of that nature could land him behind bars. At this point, on the credibility scale, Weiner ranks right up there with the guy who wakes up on his front lawn after a night on the town and tells everybody he was mugged on the way home ... but that he has no intention of reporting it to the police. "Innocent until proven guilty" doesn't apply to a politician's credibility.

Why do Republicans always behave like Boy Scouts when it's obvious that they're stuck in a rigged carnival game? What I mean is this: Judge Sumi will do everything within her power to delay her decision until the new liberal judge can be seated. Why, then, don't Walker and the rest of the GOP adopt the strategy of President Obama whenever he loses a case -- simply issue a new executive order or, in this case, pass a new law that's similar to the old one. Now that the Democrats are on this side of the state border, is there any reason the legislature can't simply meet again and pass a new law that supersedes the one Sumi is doing her best to thwart? Is the legislative session over? I hate to say this, but the Republicans should have realized from day one that they were going to get screwed by Judge Sumi ... and they should have immediately pursued a parallel path with the legislation.

If Maddow's show is your idea of "the most balanced show on TV," I have to question your definition of balance. A freshman journalism student could see that her sole goal is to nail Robinson with an embarrassing admission that could spell the end of his candidacy. Do you not get the fact that Maddow's frustration stems from the fact that she couldn't lure him into saying something damaging? And did you miss the way she structured her question -- "Do you still believe that?" -- which is the equivalent of saying, "Do you still beat your wife?" Sorry, but that's not balance, Maddow isn't a journalist, and her 18-minute segment with Robinson wasn't an interview -- it was an attempted hatchet job that failed because the target was smarter than the host.

I love the part where Maddow begins to look gleeful at the notion that she's about to corner him with his own words. Then he calmly and expertly crushes her amateurish exuberance by stating that the subject was very lengthy and technical, that he wrote it 15 years ago, that he doesn't have it in front of him, and that he doesn't trust her characterization of his works. Maddow is reduced to sounding like a back-row class clown, making snarky comments whenever the professor takes a breath.
