I am glad there is now some hope...

I have talked with my kids about the NCLB act and they felt like it was racist and focused on children who live in poverty.
One thing my kid felt would work better was a program to team up students with a 3.5 -4.0 gpa with students who have lower GPAs yet share some kind of common ground where they could relate.

Just a thought anyway...

I have mixed emotions here... im so sad about this loss... but so angry that the parents let a baby out of their sight on/near a river...

Replace everyone who has anything to do with "budgets", city, county and state with fresh people who look at the big picture and start from scratch. I am sick of cuts from education and public safety (mind you tax payers fund these programs) while these people continue to get paid more than they are worth and continue to get "cost of living" pay raises when they should take pay cuts... public safety should always be number 1!!!!!!
