For the folks who insist that Fox News was not similarly duped by Andrew's attempt to misrepresent: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ursR9ye1KOI Have the balls to at least watch the video in its entirety - including the web posts and news segments where Fox News describes this as absolute proof of racism in the Obama government - before telling me that Andrew did this solely to catch the "liberal" media. "I know that Andrew Breitbart's done great work getting this video of Ms. Sherrod AT THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE and her supposed racism and so forth saying she's not gonna help a white farmer." Andrew wasn't trying to get to the truth...he was just trying to incite a race fight. The truth was there to be found IF he wanted it. Apparently the "truth" doesn't get as many webhits as the version of the truth he can get from showing only 2-and-a-half minutes of a FORTY-FIVE MINUTE video. This lady was trying to teach an important lesson, which has been drowned out by callous politics looking to make a different score altogether.

Easy, that would be the lack of context he provided. If he knew, then he deliberately withheld it = bad journalism, If he didn't know, then he didn't research it = bad journalism. You can't make an honest case against the rest of the media when you behave as badly as you claim they do. ;)

No, it would be investigative journalism AFTER the fact. What he did amounted to little more than reposting a video, and waiting for the response. This is what's known as entrapment - the situation at hand did not exist until he created it. Furthermore, if - as you imply - he knew that there was more to the video, then he failed to or chose not to) divulge further facts, such as explaining the "truth" behind the video, as opposed to the manufactured "truth" that his snippet provided. In either case, it wasn't journalism in any way, shape, or form.....except maybe Youtube Journalism. I would rather that someone provided ALL the information, rather than picking and choosing snippets. Your mileage obviously varies.

Show me proof that he researched the video beyond those 30 seconds. I guess that kind of hard journalistic work doesn't appeal to conservative bloggers, eh? Nah, let's just post a video instead. Don't even have to get out of my desk to do that. SOMEONE had to edit that tape, otherwise Andrew would have seen the whole 15 minutes, and might even have been smart enough to understand that there was no real story to begin with. But no....he just saw a portion, and released as was....just like Fox News did. For some reason, you take pride in that (in)action.
