Thank you very much! My first day was today, and I can see already that this can be a very stressful, yet rewarding job. Honestly, it reminds me of my teaching days. So far, I'm thrilled with my cubemates and my supervisor has been nothing less than stellar.

Update: Hubby and I spoke with a supervisor at the UIA. My first protest is via mail and does not require a court date - thank god. So, we're definitely going that route. This will put a stop on them trying to reclaim one week's worth of benefits out of my other benefit checks. This is such a mess. It's going to take another 3-4 weeks for them to process my protest and give a new determination. The way I see it: the more fuss I make now, the longer someone else has a job dealing with it. LOL!

That's one thing I do like about the door to door... I'm not sitting on my butt all day, and people have been very nice about listening to me. I'm not pushy. I'm friendly and do the whole thing in under 3 minutes. Since I'm not selling anything, it makes it better. Easier. But if the person wants to talk, I let them talk and it can be a very nice encounter. I still don't like interrupting people in the middle of their day. I used to be the shooer and not the shooee.
