Okay, so if you were me, here is what you do. You go to a Target. You find the Spanx. Then you walk about four or five feet to the right and find the lightest, least constrictive shorts-looking things that are in that general area. Get 'em long enough so they won't ride up. They should cost about $12.
I did this yesterday and will never go back to Spanx or any other modern day thigh corsetry.
I'm still occasionally bummed that my husband vetoed Evangeline. But we did go with Lydia, which shows up in centenarian obituaries more than birth announcements these days.
I just started building my work wardrobe with eShakti! I ordered five dresses and kept all five, although I did do a little seam-ripping to adjust a bow on one that was sewn down weirdly.
I was nervous about the measurements, but they look good. I probably will take off an inch on the waist and two off the hips next time I order because I like a snugger fit, but it was great to have things that properly fit me.

Like, MAC girls look fantastic and I loved when they made me up like a MAC girl but that's not the right look for where I'm going next. I think I'll check out Clinique, my mom used to give me the little free samples they gave her and the smell makes me happy/nostalgic.
Professional toast femmes, especially in academia, what is a good way to get set up with a professional, minimal makeup look? I'm 32 and starting a grownup job soon and would like someone who knows what they're doing to pick out some things for me and show me what to do and what not to do for a professional daytime look. I did this like ten years ago and liked the results but I suspect what a 20-something came up with for another 20-something ten years ago at a MaC counter is not quite right for my situation now.
Thanks for writing up the EMTALA thing. It is also a fact that almost every hospital emergency department is overcrowded and the majority of them go on diversion - where they send ambulances to other hospitals because they are overwhelmed - at least once a year.
In most cases in the states, they get a phenobarbital syrup that makes them fall asleep and then eventually stop breathing.
