IAMfourzerotwo : Back to blogging and twittering after two weeks

I think really the only thing that IW has to do with CoD5 is that Treyarch is using CoD4's engine. 402 can comment on this, but I doubt they are involved in the development process of CoD5.

I took it from your post(QCskater) that you think IW is making CoD5. They arent. Treyarch is. That's good news because I believe CoD6 will be another great game. But IW should learn from CoD4's fanbase and from other games, that DLC is very important.

I dont see a whole lot of difference. IW was probably preparing for CoD4 after CoD2 came out, yet they supplied a decent amount of DLC during the game's life. Get real dude, 1 map pack with 4 maps(well 3 really) in almost a year. Inexcusable.

yet other companies seem to churn out updates or DLC just fine. This is no excuse. We've had one map pack and nothing else in nearly a year. This is laziness, plain and simple.

IAMfourzerotwo : Double XP This Weekend - plus 50% Variety Map Pack

but you put out 4 map packs for CoD2. I think it boils down to IW getting complacent with how well the game has done. In some ways, I cant blame you. But when your main competition is churning out alot of DLC, there is no reason why IW shouldnt do the same for its fanbase. It's unexcusable.

As much as I like IW for making IMO, the best two FPS's ever(CoD2 and CoD4), they have completely dropped the ball with keeping CoD4 fresh. CoD4's competition on Xbox live(mainly Halo 3) has given its fanbase a pretty good amount of DLC, and all we've gotten in almost a year is one map pack with 4 maps in it. I mean, are you kidding me? CoD2 had 4 map packs IIRC(and Treyarch's CoD3 had 3 I believe). And this talk of new playlists has been going since when, late July, or something? Even though Ive planned on buying CoD5, I'm finding myself getting more excited at its November release because CoD4 is getting old with nothing new to do. Even just 2 new maps and a couple of new playlists would be pretty good, IMO.

IAMfourzerotwo : COD4 Online Community is 10 Million Strong

I'm not one to complain alot(actually this is my first post on 402's website), as this is one of the best FPS's ever. That being said, I am getting extremely impatient with IW. This game has been out for a couple months shy of a year, and we've only had 1 map pack to download and that is it. Hell, we've been hearing about these playlists for what, 2 months? Their biggest online competitor, Halo 3, has had a pretty decent amount of DLC. Where is ours? The last IW CoD(CoD2) had 4 map packs, IIRC. I dont know, I just think they are too complacent with having such an awesome game as it is, that they feel no need to offer us much else. I find myself(and I know I'm not the only one) playing it less and less, because there just isnt anything new to do. I know offering DLC takes time, but if they can do it for a first generation game like CoD2, surely they can offer a good amount for their most popular game to date.
