This was also a time when Nicholas Cage was capable of choosing his projects wisely.

Film School Rejects : Review: Terminator Salvation Lacks Humanity

Through all of McG's narcissism, even he should surely be able to see where he made his money. The backs of the studios and companies from which this money was made is also clearly visible. I don't exactly know what I'm trying to say with that... all I know is that anyone who calls them self McG needs to be taken with a grain of salt, if not assumed to be a complete turd. What was Sam Worthington like, Cole?

Film School Rejects : Marvel Summons Chris Hemsworth to Play \'Thor\'

Give him a chance. I just had a knee jerk reaction upon reading the headline too. Though having said that I do have complete and total distaste for the Australian shows Home and Away or Neighbours. I don't rate soap operas very highly at all. In his favour, Chris is a pretty big guy. He's quite tall and pretty broad. I'd say he's bigger than Daniel Craig and "prettier". After all, lets not forget that Thor does need to be on the pretty side. I also believe he has had theatre experience which tends to be a good sign when out Aussie actors step up in the world.
