Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 7/21 A Strange and Very Interesting Video - Should We Keep It?

Any worthy cause needs and deserves to have its anthems. Keep it, and create and find other like music that puts to song the principles and ideals that true supporters of the constitution believe in. We need a entire section on the site for music, because music can help break down walls, open doors and inspire courage when the head winds get strong.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 7/4 Colin Powell (finally) Questions The Obama Agenda

Colin Powell said, "I don't like slogans anymore like 'limited government.' That's not the right answer. The right answer is, give me a government that works." Limited Government is not a slogan. It is a principle built into the constitution. Powell sounds like a progressive and disloyal to the principles of individual liberty. I want a government that works too, but it needs to work for the promotion of individual liberty. “The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first." - Thomas Jefferson The right answer will always be to bind government with the chains of the Constitution Mr. Powell!

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 6/14 The President's Spending FINALLY Gets Some Attention

Obama said, "The reckless fiscal policies of the past have left us in a very deep hole, and digging our way out of it will take time, patience and some tough choices." I agree with BHO in that "reckless fiscal policies of the past have left us in a very deep hole." His administration is inheriting the mess left by previous administrations. But someone needs to tell this guy that when you are in a hole YOU NEED TO STOP DIGGING!!! If we keep trying to dig our way out of the hole, we will up tunneling our way to China, but I guess that's the plan. Keep begging the Chinese to buy our debt.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/25/09: From the Give-Me-A-Break Department, Here's Today's "Blame Capitalism" Item...

Driveby Questions: How many Americans do you see crashing the boarders of Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica, Honduras, Nicaragua and Venezuela to live in those countries any way they can? – Legally or illegally Can you tell me of another political/economic system with concrete historical examples that maximizes personal liberties and produces the prosperity America has seen? I agree with OldMarine that no system is perfect, but some are certainly better than others at promoting life, liberty and the protection of property. So which system of government puts the power into the hands of the people in determining their own destiny or making course corrections should the system get off track? I’ll take this republic and capitalism over any other system in a heart beat despite the problems created by the dishonest, the corrupt, and the apathetic dolts within her boarders. 9-12ers - If America ever fails, it will be because we have strayed from the principles designed into our Constitution and because we have compromised our values. Do you believe in at least 7 of the 9 principles? Do you try to live the 12 values?

Questions: Don’t plants need sun light to grow? Wouldn’t this threaten agriculture? Wouldn’t this lead to a reduction in our ability to produce food for the growing populations of the world? Perhaps the answer to questions like these is what Holdren was thinking about when he said there could be grave side effects. Last Question: Why are people in the white house even talking about stuff like this? It just seems crazy. <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/environment/clim..." target="_blank">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/environment/clim... <a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/news/us_world/2009/04/..." target="_blank">http://www.nydailynews.com/news/us_world/2009/04/...

When I heard about this from a family member I was dumbfounded. John Holdren, Obama Science and Technology Advisor, announced to the Associated Press that the Obama administration was considering climate engineering. This would entail shooting/blasting pollution particles in the atmosphere to reflect sun light and thereby cool the earth. Later he back pedaled on his comments when they were being publicized. Some of Holdren’s remarked quoted by Associated Press "It's got to be looked at” "We don't have the luxury of taking any approach off the table." "we might get desperate enough to want to use it"

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Capitalism? Socialism?

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 17 Socialists In Congress?

Excellent post! However, I would argue there are more then 545 to blame. You are forgetting all that were elected to office before them who mocked the constitution and sacrifice of the founders with their actions. Additionally, who was it that elected them to office? - Regretfully, we Americans are all to blame too for not being more vigilant. I will never be lazy in doing my homework again when it comes to electing representatives. There have been times when I was not very well informed about some candidates at the polls. We all need to commit to working harder and doing better and electing officials who love and respect the constitution and who act according to values and principles. Write to congress about your grievances!!!

Suggestion: Why wait? Figure it out for yourself. Here’s how. 1.)A clear understanding about the political spectrum so that you can easily recognize actions and words for the political philosophy to which they belong. 2.)Analyze voting records of each member of congress and map out their voting patterns on the political spectrum. 3.)Analyze all of the words they speak and map out their rhetoric looking for political patterns, remembering actions speak louder than words. 4.)Publish your results. Make sure to include your methodology. Remember, don’t do it in isolation either. Get people with different views to help you so you can avoid injecting personal bias. There are plenty of online resources to help you get started. Good luck! P.S. - I am doing this for my representatives so that I can make better decisions during elections. I want people in office who are fierce advocates of the Constitution and who demonstrate a record of making decisions according to values and principles not who is funding their re-election campaign.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Hawaiians Get Tired Of Waiting On Washington, Take Matters Into Their Own Hands

This is a story of American Spirit. These are the kind of stories I was raised on – people helping and loving their neighbors. Hard-work, Sacrifice, Thrift, Ingenuity, Independence and Self-reliance! This is the American Spirit! We could do so much better for ourselves if government would just get out of our way, out of our pockets, and stop mortgaging our children’s future. Lower levels of government should be made stronger than the federal level because that is where it can more easily be controlled by the people. We should not ask or wait for others to do for us what we can and ought to do for ourselves. Remember – “No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the congress is in session.” – Mark Twain

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : The 9/12

Don't choose to alienate yourself. Rather find out for yourself where your rights come from. If you can believe that your rights are divinely given - natural rights then I don't think you should get hung up on this. If you can agree with at least 7 of the 9 principles then there should be enough common ground. Do you believe in the values? Do you live them? Even if you don’t believe in Him, God still wants you to be free to make that choice.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : The 9/12

Additionally, the existence of a divine creator, God, also establishes the truth about absolute morals - that not all values relative to culture are equal. I can think of several examples historically and even today where certain cultures and/or governments perpetuate false traditions and false value systems that oppress women and children or people of another race. This is not a part of God plan for his children. We are all created equal in the eyes of God. These are things worth fighting for – Family, Life, Liberty and Freedom of Belief. Does someone who does not belief in God have the staying power to defend Freedom? If so, from where will they draw their strength? Help me understand how someone with secular beliefs describes the origin of their individual rights? They certainly were not created when the Bill of Rights was written.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : The 9/12

Principle 2 is important. It is very important that every person realize that his or her individual rights are divinely appointed. Our rights to life and liberty did not come from “man,” if they did then it would be possible for “man” to take them away. (Man can be interpreted as culture, society, government, religion, etc. Any institution created by man that seeks to become greater than those who created it. The creature cannot exceed the creator). We are all endowed by the God of Nature with unalienable rights. If a person cannot believe that his or hers rights are divinely appointed, then on what grounds can that person justly defend his or her life and liberty? Principle 2 is very important and not at all trivial.

We need to return to living by values. We need to be governed by the rule of law. We need our elected officials to do the same.
