My Real Name is Matt (Really) : Annapurna Circuit Packing List

I was referring to the MSR Sweetwater purification drops, not the filter. It's a little confusing that they gave two products the same name. It looks like the drops have gone up to $15 per bottle. Still very much worth it, in my opinion.

Daily Camera.com: : Changes to Boulder off-leash dog program moving forward - Boulder Daily Camera

I find it difficult to understand why anyone would agree. A friendly dog greets an aggressive dog, and it's the friendly dog's fault? That makes no sense at all. As has been said elsewhere, dogs are social animals by nature. One dog attacking the other is not at all a normal response. If I had an aggressive dog, the first thing I would do is invest in some training. Prior to, and while that dog is in training, I would avoid any situations that are likely to set it off. If other dogs greeting it are going to bring out the aggression, than the logical and thing to do is to avoid situations where it's likely to meet other dogs. I definitely wouldn't take it where other dogs are off leash. And in areas where all dogs are on leash, I would warn other people and dogs from a long distance, and step off to the side so they can go by.

I thought the same thing. Service at the Tea House has been remarkably bad for as long as I've been going there. Service is perfectly fine at Aji, Leaf and Huckleberry so I don't know why they can't seem to figure it out at the Tea House.

I'm not sure why you're being down-voted. You're right, Franklin was talking about wine. Here's the actual quote which came from a letter to Morellet. "Behold the rain which descends from heaven upon our vineyards, there it enters the roots of the vines, to be changed into wine, a constant proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy."

Daily Camera.com: : Eureka! Physicists, including CU-Boulder researchers, celebrate evidence of particle - Boulder Daily

It has already been repeated. The same results were found independently by two teams. It is a 4.9 sigma signal at 125 GeV, so the probability of it being errant data is less than one in a million. It's not quite 5 sigma, which is what they are really going for, but the accumulation of additional data should net that result. Additionally, looking back at data previously gathered with Tevatron (Fermilab's now-retired particle accelerator) there was a 2.9 sigma bump in the data in that range. So not only is it two separate teams that have seen this, but two different accelerators with different sets of detectors that have seen it.

Look for a copy of Three Cups of Deceit by Jon Krakauer. It goes into great detail about the fabrications in Three Cups of Tea, and the way that Mortenson ran his organization. There was also a 60 Minutes episode that didn't go into as much detail, but is worth watching if you're interested. As far as I've seen, Mortenson has never been able to offer a reasonable rebuttal. It's mind boggling that people still support him. Three Cups of Deceit was available for free when it was first released but it looks like it's a few dollars now. Copies are available at Boulder Public Library.

I'm not an expert, but a couple quick searches seem to indicate that rent should be no more than 7 or 8 percent of sales, and 4 percent or less of sales is very favorable. The fact that it was also a music venue probably throws off those percentages a bit, but I don't know by how much. Anyhow with those numbers and the rent indicated, they would need to be grossing $2670-5300 per day - $2670 makes it 8 percent of sales and $5300 makes it 4 percent of sales. If you assume that tickets will average $25 per person, that would require 107-214 customers per day.

In-N-Out is the most over-hyped restaurant I've ever visited. It may be slightly better than usual fast food, but it's still just fast food and not very good. There are plenty of much better burgers out there and I'll stick with those even if it does come here.

Avalanche beacons have a fairly short range. What is most similar to what you're probably thinking of is a personal locator beacon (PLB). The user has to activate the PLB, then it transmits a rescue signal to satellites which is then passed on to search and rescue. These start at about $250 and go up from there.
