She's a name you drop these days to draw attention to an issue or a candidate. And I agree the original poster really had no business talking about Palin, but the cat's out of the bag, now isn't it. Second of all, just because someone doesn't like Sarah Palin doesn't make them a leftist. Myself, I am for gradually (not radically) shrinking government to a more reasonable level, balancing the budget, and checking the Executive branch. So your assertion that I'm one of those "lefties" falls flat. I'm not gonna lie, I have some leftist leanings, but if there's a Republican candidate that's selling a better product, they'll get my vote. E.g. I'm a fan of private school vouchers.
