You're right. Next time I will be less sarcastic and get to the point.

I never said religion doesn't afflict morality. Like Soren Kierkegaard explained, a religious life does not necessarily translate into a moral life: When God asked Abraham to kill his son, that is out of the bounds of morality.

I acknowledge your point, pboy. And I believe you are right. Luckily I do not take the Bible as my moral compass or guide.

Like I said beforehand, if someone were to call you a "F*** idiot" and then go on to explain why you are such, in less confronting terms, wouldn't you focus on the "F**** idiot" part?

A little confronting? Really?

The post-ee might as well have just posted that picture to reveal his real sentiment over the subject. One word, or in this case, one picture says a thousand words. I look at the intent. If the post were so "even handed" why post such a belligerent and--in my opinion--semi-arrogant picture? That, to me, says it all.

Oh, and I'm not whining. I'm replying. If I were whining, I would be saying "Why do you all harass religion? Why this? What that?" But I am not.

Perhaps instead of whining about my reply, you could put forward why you think people aren't bullshit and the reason they proclaim everything they do in the name of a religion?

Such a hostile post. And, of course, what a gracious picture you have there on your post. It's not insulting at all. Obviously, because you are unequivocally right about your hypothesis, you are entitled to call all forms of religion "bullshit." That's nothing like the far right evangelical extremists that attempted to convert others from "irrationality"--or "bullshit" too. That's a great step forward. I applaud your reaction and your post.

I mean, obviously, religious idiocy has never done any good in this world, right? That would be preposterous. It must be religion that is the "eye-closer" and not man's inherent inability to remain within the bounds of morality.

What I don't understand is: why do religious reverents and athiest reverents wish to disprove one another? Being religous does not necessarily prove morality nor does being athiest prove morality either. For example, Soren Kierkegaard wrote that morality and religion may conflict (i.e. when God asked Abraham to kill his son: morally inexcusable, but religiously acceptable). Now, we also know atheism does not also prove to create a moral being either. That's logical; I don't need to even give an example because we're humans (and if you believe athiesm makes you a better person, right...). Now, what I mean to say is: the real problem is not religion or the lack of. The problem is human nature. That causes ill in the world.
