So glad you like it. And I do agree with the whole logical-mathematical sickness. I'm not an innate one but have quickly adapted and now I'm addicted :)

So very true! Great reminder for us all. And fortunately, I don't know anyone who wrote a bestseller the first time out the box. :)

Michael Hyatt Blog : An Interview with Max Lucado

What a timely book for so many--for me! What would happen if all Christians lived with that perspective--to outlive our lives. I can't wait to read Lucado's book and share it with others.

MariaKeckler.com : What Are You Doing?

One of my favorite verses that in many ways answers your questions is 1 Chronicles 28:20:"Then David said to his son Solomon, "Be strong and courageous, and act; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished." I believe that if we are walking close to him (John 15:5), the desires of our hearts are clues about the work that he entrusts in our hands. The job at hand is, then, "to be strong, and courageous, and act." to "act," I believe, means that we start where we are: researching the process, writing, sharing the message with the circle of influence we already have until it grows. It may mean getting training, preparation, mentoring, etc. We must step out and act and then, and only then, we will begin to see what else is there to do.

What a great perspective, Harriet. Thank you for sharing your own experience. I'm glad to know that this syndrome transcends the Mexican-Chinese culture. But now that I think of it, our situation was similar to yours. Having a business and a customer to please do come with some strings attached.

MariaKeckler.com : Making a U-Turn

It takes courage to make U-turns--and Godin's Dip is a great encouragement this end. You are so right about our reluctance to make those turns when we have in the back of our mind what others will think. I applaud you and your husbands courage! It'll be exciting ot see how amazing the new path can be. I'm cheering both of you on!

WritingtoServe.net : Five Reasons to Unleash the “Servant Writer” in You

I hope you write what the Lord puts in your heart whether people see you or not. When we read the gospels we see the heart of the authors, even when it is God's message. We see Paul in all his letters and the passion he had for Jesus Christ. God uses people's attributes, personalities, and stories to bring glory to HImself.

Keep writing!
