The Heritage Foundry : New Whoppers from U.S. Sugar Producers

And what your saying is that you don't want US consumers hearing the facts that foreign countries are happy to pay higher prices for US sugar because it's a cleaner, healther product than the toxic, tainted foreign sugar. Just as you don't have a problem with US potatos, apples, and all sorts of other produce being sold overseas, while we get the foreign grown, toxic crap. US farmers have to pay US taxes and grow under USDA regulations that make their costs higher. Are you neo-cons at heritage.org working with Obama to collapse US food production too?

WPRI.com | Eyewitness News : Teacher Charged After Taking Boy to Florida | WPRI.co

What's happened is, that the leftist controlled democrat party don't care about or respect any of our civil or human rights, they view us as mere cogs in the wheel, or threats to their demand for a plantation slavery state where the people are forced to serve the leftist parasitical elite. They demand that our public education system serve their interests, and they view the desire to remove a pedophile from a teaching position to protect children as "discrimination". The left are trying to change federal and state laws, to allow a pedophile to molest children with impunity, claiming that children have a right to sexual activity. Consider the fact that the democrat leader in RI Gordon Fox is silent on this crime, and consider his support for laws that would deprive parents the right to protect their children, and allow all sorts of insanity to take place in our schools. Wake up and do something before these despots destroy your children.

Commentary Magazine : The Establishment, Compromise and Conservatives

While the writer of this piece makes some salient points, the fact remains that the establishment in question aren't the Paul Ryans, those who are conservative and interested in steering the US back onto the path of fiscal sanity.. to suggest that the establishment are being railed against because of that is not only untrue, it's insulting to fiscal conservatives. The establishment are by and large the same neo-conservatives who have been in bed with the left for decades, who demand big government, corporate subsidies, ever increasing foreign aid, and bailouts like TARP. They demand Romney be appointed and the votes of the citizenry be shunted aside, because they want the same type of foul policies Obama implements, they want to be even larger beneficiaries of those corrupt, foul policies. Romney is the answer to their dreams, because they know Romney would exploit the power of the presidency for his own and his contributor's profit. Romney would loot the US, the same way Romney looted private companies, with Bain, leaving the taxpayers holding the burden. Neo-conservatives are NOT conservatives, they're Trotskyites, they are Marxists. Trotsky might have had a few disagreements with Stalin & Lenin, but he was a communist, he advocated the same thing, desiring the same outcome. Trotskyites formed the neo-conservative movement, to infiltrate the republican party and destroy it from within, so they could take control and rise to power in the US. Neo-conservatives seek to impose global governance on the US, to declare the constitution antiquated, they have no love or loyality to the United States. Romney has no love or loyality to the United States, we present only an opportunity for greater personal wealth for Romney. Romney's own father wrote that his son, Willard (Mitt) was a disciple of Saul Alinksky, and we see from Romney's one term as governor of Massachusetts, he raised taxes 7 times, raised fees and left the state with massive debt. Romney imposed Romneycare, which has been a burden to the taxpayers of the entire US all these years. It was the blueprint for Obamacare. Romney supported Cap & Trade, and with radical environmentalist, Douglas Foy, crafted a vile Cap & Trade law for Massachusetts, which cased employers to leave the state, and for people to lose jobs Romney signed a Cap & Trade law 4 Massachusetts as Gov that cost ppl #jobs as biz left the state. http://newamerica.net/files/MAClimateProtPlan0504...

I hate to shock you, moron, but those Paul supporters aren't Paul supporters, they're democrats, Obama supporters. I know Paul thinks he can blackmail his way into some powerful position to redeem his decades of failures, but in all candor, he's not getting people loyal to him elected as delegates, who will springboard him to some cabinet appointment, or to anything relevant. They aren't a libertarian bastion, they are a scam. They will cast GOP delegate votes, for Obama. Do you get it, moron? What makes me laugh is, that while you were getting snowed, it was apparent to the rest of us. Something else you don't get, moron, Romney is the one paying for Paul's Eternal or Enduring Liberty, his cronies in SLC funnel money into it. Paul is running interference for Romney. Both Romney and Paul are shills for Obama, whether they know or admit it or not.

There are more than 250,000 republican voters in the state of Maine, and they've been told Romney is inevitable. Romney only received 2,000 votes in the GOP primary. More people came out and voted for other candidates than voted for Romney. He hasn't stopped anything. Romney bussed in paid shills to vote for him in the straw poll at CPAC, still, the vast majority of the republican, and independent voters across the US will not vote for him, not out of fear, and certainly not for any reason otherwise. We reject him and we are content to take back the senate and let the establishment not get their way in for the presidency. We will never allow that, we refuse to let Obama or the RINO establishment take our freedoms away. We're not fools, we will not bow to the neo-cons any more than we will not bow to their fellow Marxists.

CPAC is over rated, it's run by a neo-con, an anti-American, Grover Norquist who is a convert to Islam and is responsible, for single handedly conducting Islamists from CAIR & the Muslim Brotherhood into government positions and appointments to commisions, starting in George W.'s administration. Now Norquist uses CPAC to censor conservatives who speak out against sharia being imposed through our schools and financial institutions. When you consider that CPAC has been annointing the deranged Ron Paul for yogs years, it's time for conservatives to create their own CPAC like conference and cut Norquist loose. he's a danger to the United States.

Big Government : Why Many Young People Love Ron Paul and Why Many Older People Despise Him

No, it isn't. Libertarians don't actually respect the concept of liberty. Like the left, they seek to exploit liberty for themselves, but refuse to respect the requirement of reciprocity. Other citizens have liberties, yet libertarians refuse to respect those liberties. They demand other citizens subsidize their demands for cheap foreign labor.

Big Government : A Message to the GOP from Two Latino Conservatives: Don't Blow this Opportunity!

There are many cogent arguments against the current trendy libertarian support for open borders, several of them outlined by the first presidential nominee of the Libertarian Party, John Hospers, in paper published by the Journal of Libertarian Studies over a decade ago entitled A Libertarian Argument Against Open Borders. The concluding paragraph of the essay is especially perceptive in its analysis of the problem: "Occasionally, we hear the phrase “limousine liberals” used to describe the members of the liberal establishment who send their children to expensive private schools while consigning all the others to the public school system, which educates these children so little that by the time they finish the eighth grade they can barely read and write or do simple arithmetic, or make correct change in a drug store. It would be equally appropriate, however, to describe some other people as ”limousine libertarians” —those who pontificate about open borders while remaining detached from the scenes that their “idealism” generates. They would do well to reflect, in their ivory towers, on whether the freedom they profess for those who are immigrants, if it occurs at all, is to be brought about at the expense of the freedom of those who are not." This passage describes, in a nut shell, the quintessence of cosmotarianism, and why most Americans-and even some in the libertarian movement-continue to reject it. I could post the most meticulously researched George Borjas journal article, the most statistically devastating backgrounder from the Center for Immigration Studies, or the most irrefutable essay by Mahattan Institute scholar Heather Mac Donald. And although all of these sources are invaluable in the fight to define the terms of this debate, they wouldn’t hold a candle to the self-evident fact that none of the greatest exponents and defenders of open borders, be it Tamar Jacoby, or Jason Riley, or Nick Gillespie, abide by their own exhortations. None of these individuals partake of the glorious mosaic which their unyielding ideology has done so much to create. You won’t find many Reason Magazine editors or Cato Institute scholars living in Bergenfield, New Jersey, Maywood, California, or Eagle Pass, Texas. Why, you might ask? Because they would rather pass off the tremendous costs of their bankrupt philosophy onto ordinary Americans than to admit that they might just be wrong. These people are insulated from unfettered immigration’s worst effects, including chronic unemployment, violent crime, and environmentallydevasting pollution from Arizona to California and throughout the country. They have the luxury of ignoring the impact of this country’s changing demographic profile while promoting the patently absurd notion that our open borders are a boon to all but the small percentage of high school dropouts. What’s more, they make the equally ludicrous assertion-outlined in the Caplan speech above-that importing millions of unskilled, uneducated immigrants, who will be dependent upon costly government services, from quasi-socialist nations will expand this nation’s economic liberty. Forget the fact that we now enjoy less economic freedom than our northern neighbors, a development concurrent with the greatest expansion of immigration in this country’s history, the entire premise underlying this concept is flawed. You do not build a prosperous, 21st century, post-industrial society around foreigners from countries with low human capital. And the amount of time, energy and economic resources that need to be shifted in order to improve the educational prospects and earning potential of these immigrants, e.g. the billions funneled into ESL programs each year, is so cost prohibitive that it outweighs whatever benefits can be gleaned from such an arrangement. Another seeming inconsistency in the archetypal libertarian solution to our immigration problem is the reluctance of most libertarians to support any sort of relief for American taxpayers who are tasked with paying for millions of illegal aliens and immigrants who are dependent upon costly social services. Particularly, public schooling and emergency health care. Invoking Friedman’s argument once again, we find that while many libertarians will concede that dependency upon welfare programs is a bad thing they will do nothing to limit access to these programs by illegal aliens or permanent residents. To the contrary, if any such bill-which is immigration neutral-is proffered, they will stalwartly oppose it. Just ask new Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson, who supports the DREAM Act, despite the fact that taxpayers would be subsidizing the in-state tuition discounts of its recipients. Paleolibertarian writer Ilana Mercer deftly skewers purported libertarians who routinely call for the abolition of the welfare state while adding a proviso that excludes immigrants and illegal aliens from the fiscal demands of their libertopia.

Sorry, but Mr. Sorrentino is stoned on the bong water. It's been patently clear from the get go what is going on with the Paul campaign, and it's not a coalescing of support around the libertarian's favorite nazi. It's the Obama admin's ability to play off the egos and delusions of the libertarians and neo-cons. Obama and his cronies have gotten lots of democrats in open primary/caucus states to vote for Ron Paul, this is to imply greater popularity for Paul, in the hopes of peeling support away from non-Romney challengers, as well as another tactic they haven't really been silent about, they've been boasting about it since Iowa. These democrats stick around after the caucuses and primaries, they're signed up as wanting to be delegates, and if they become delegates, they will not be voting for Paul in the general election, they'll give their votes as "republican" delegates to Obama. And if they're successful it's because Bill Maher isn't the only repulsive, mentally deficient libertarian.. Mitt Romney and his friends are the ones funding the Eternal Liberty PAC that Paul is milking in his nasty, bizarre way to pay for his solitary meals that are remarked upon, where he treats voters and the media rudely. Ron Paul isn't playing this election to win, or even to advance any concerns, he's a paid straw man, stalking horse. And libertarians like Sorrentino are morons.

Growing up in the '60s and '70s I was over exposed to Star Trek, I mean I loathed the series. As an adult, I would literally cringe if anyone suggested we watch an old ep in syndication. I was contemptuous of the Star Trek films and the spin-off ST series.. Shatner is annoying to me.. seriously. When Abram's prequel was released, my daughter desperately wanted to see it with me, and I seriously did not want to see it. However, when I did see it, I was shocked at the degree of fondness I actually felt for the original characters, getting to see their younger selves characterized. I loved the imagining of the youth of Kirk, his father's sacrifice. I felt exultant recognizing Bones McCoy when he met up with the young Kirk for the first time. I cheered for the young Scotty. I'd no idea that despite my getting sick of the original, that there had been a residual fondness for the characters that remained.

No, of course YOU don't want us to comment on those facts, but that's YOUR problem. Why don't you cite how I'm misrepresenting those views, hmm? You have, "Marvin & MIke" telling the GOP, if they'd just bribe them the way the democrats do, then that miniscule Hispanic vote could be theirs.. that's asking for bribes, whether you find that fact convenient or not. It's a shakedown that's being perpetuated, and it's not in aid of helping the GOP get votes, it's in aid of pissing off the GOP base into losing their fire to vote for GOP candidates, so Obama, the illegal aliens' best friend gets re-elected to a second term. We're not stupid, and I've read the writings of US citizens who are of Hispanic ancestry, who don't share your open borders agenda, they've exposed frauds like your lot like the leftist, Soros funded "Somos Republicans" aka the Tequila Party.

Big Hollywood : Why Haunted House Films Can't Scare Us Anymore

I agree with others who have stated that the haunted house genre isn't dead. The old classics still are as scary as they were when new. What is tired and lifeless are the Hollywood hacks who keep trying to remake, rather than think up fresh material. We need stories, real well developed characters, interesting plot lines, don't try to cover up for a lack of substance with sex and splatter gore, that doesn't make up for what's lacking. Nor do we want to see over exposed 'stars'. I won't go see Lady in Black, most specifically, because Daniel Radcliffe's been over exposed, and I have no desire to humor that by paying for a ticket.

It IS commerce, for consumers to base a decision not to support a company based on marketing, or things the company does that are found offensive. No one forced JC Penney to select a polarizing, hateful, intolerant person like Ellen Degeneres as spokesman. Penney's is perfectly free to hire her, and we are perfectly free to inform them of our disapproval. It's not capitalism or the free market to tell us we must shop at JC Penney's, please get over yourselves. I stopped buying Cover Girl, when they selected Degeneres as seedy and degenerate isn't a look I which to emulate.

When referring to Christians, Ellen Degeneres called them, “evil, idiotic, so-called God-loving people who use the Bible to justify their hate.” she was quoted in an article titled, Ellen Degeneres Declares War. Sorry John, but Ellen isn't nice, that's a false front. She hates anyone who doesn't conform to her demands, she hates and demands the rights of Christians be violated and they be oppressed. I'm sure lots of Germans thought that some of the proponents of Hitler and the nazi party were, 'nice' it doesn't mean they were. Please don't rubber stamp this nonsense by sucking up to Degeneres. The woman is a hypocrite and a fraud. You can't condone her hypocrisy by dismissing it, it undermines your credibility. And if you seek to curry favor with the diseased leftists who are posting here in an attempt to display how they can get you to grub up to them, then why not look for a job at some leftist trash entertainment industry rag.
