From what I have heard reported by a USA Today buiness commentator: 62,000 jobs - Created by McDonald's in a hiring push 172,000 Jobs are contibuted to an accounting "slick trick" that takes the birth/death difference and adds that difference as "jobs" into the count. REAL JOBS CREATED TOTAL = About 10,000 and unemployment rose during this period of time.
