Hey Everyone! I've been following the blog for years, though I rarely comment. I enjoy keeping up with the theories and the entertaining ways we all cope with the anxiety of waiting for the winner reveal!! Here was a list I did a few years back (DH 2013), hope it makes you laugh!

How you know you’re dream home obsessed:

10. You have made a spreadsheet of how you would spend your winnings
9. You check your spam email just to make sure you haven't missed anything
8. When your family/spouse ask you to hang out, you are certain it is for the purpose of staging an ambush
7. Every time you pull into your neighborhood, you are on the lookout for film crew hiding behind the hedges or you check every car for a possible private investigator!
6. You get up and check the HGTV blog/Facebook for updates before brushing your teeth
5. You have already decided If you would take the house or the cash option and what taxes you would be responsible for
4. You have read the "rules" of the sweepstakes so many times you consider yourself an expert
3. You become obsessed with keeping your house clean.
2. For the first time in months you are fully dressed with make-up on 24 hours of the day
1. When your spouse asks what our plans are for the evening they include the words, "unless HGTV ambushes us tonight"

Yes, you said it best Lindingo. It is a massive headache. I saw a comment not long ago that most of the previous sweeps homes are still on the market...is that true? I wonder how long it will take to sell and what you do in the meantime (taxes may be due before the home sells and the longer you wait for the home to sell the more you pay in property taxes which comes off your take home amount). Coming from a family in debt due to a hard couple of years, any amount out of pocket is not money we have. The other sweeps were so exciting because I knew I wouldn't have to come out of pocket before getting my prize. I was just a fan of the take home cash/ amount of a headache ratio the old sweeps were... For example with my beginner-level understanding of property taxes, sweepstakes taxes, closing costs & realtor commissions I estimate the take home to be about $315,000 if you sell (still a blessing) but pales in comparison to $497,512 take home with no headache from the $815,595 cash option they offered in 2014. Still may be worth a try, just wanted to voice my opinion on the choice to remove a more attractive offer.

Very disappointed in the no cash prize offered. That is the sole reason I stopped following & entering the blog cabin. Now it's the same as blog cabin. I already entered for today, but after reading that there will be no cash prize, that will be my only entry. Also, I saw that notification is just a call. No ambush. I hate that the Urban Oasis has just backtracked into every other sweepstakes with no real excitement or anticipation. Interested to see the impact (lower number of entries, loss of sponsorship due to lower page visits, etc...).

But on a brighter note: Congratulations to those of you who are in a position to already afford the taxes, etc on a sweepstakes home. The entries should be fewer so your chances are better!!!!

See you guys back at the Dream Home (unless they take away the cash option too...)

Maybe its just a coincidence, but notice the last three pictures on Tiffany's instagram- Lights (B&N post), Camera (The superstar post where they were filming something), Action (Flying post)! I know that is a stretch but thought it was pretty cool!
