Film School Rejects : Review: Friday the 13th (2009)

This flick simply rocked. If you love the three b's of the originals (and don't mind the filck being cleaned up and looking all slick) then you should dig it. If you don't like the original series, don't see this one.

Film School Rejects : Samuel L. Jackson No Longer Bringing 'Fury' for 'Iron Man 2'

It seems to me that SJ would be one of the easier folks in Hollywood to negotiate with. He doesn't seem to be too demanding in his selection of scripts, and he works in semi-low budget features. Marvel was going to make him an integral part of a lucrative franchise and couldn't come up with a price. After hearing the 250k they offered Rourke, I figure they offered SJ something similar, obviously scaled to the amount of work he'd have to do though. Looks like Marvel wants to do a "summer stock" theatre version of Iron Man 2. Granted I'll still pony up the $10 to check it out but still...

Film School Rejects : First Official 'Crank 2' Trailer Will Melt Your Face Off

Nevermind the fact that charging up the electrical box would fry him and leave his plastic heart to kick all that ass on its own. I am almost (eh. not really, mebbe just a little) ashamed at how much I want to see this film. Get the popcorn, the giant smurf blue slurpee, sit back and get blown away. I can't wait!

Film School Rejects : Terminator Salvation: Facts, Implications, and Speculation

I was already excited to see humanity attempt to stop the onslaught of Skynet, now I'm even more impatient. I'd heard the rumor of sequels, but I'm not going to be fired up for that unles Salvation delivers. The all out human assault on Skynet=Awesome! I'll check it out on the IMAX.

Dead Snow looks awesome. I've been craving a zombie Nazi flick since I saw that fake(?) trailer for Worst Case Scenario last year or so ago.

While I won't defend Reign of Fire, Sahara was a great popcorn flick. No more, or less brainless than National Treasure, yet Dirk Pitt's hair was less distracting than Ben Gates'.

Film School Rejects : Will a PG-13 John Carter Finally Make it to Mars?

I have to agree. Thomas Jane would make a badass John Carter. I'm just glad Keanu Reeves hasn't gotten wind of the project. I think it is his goal is to trash everything sacred.

Film School Rejects : Some Common Sense About the Watchmen Lawsuit

I'm all for scenario 3. Fox may be bastards, but luckily enough they are greedy bastards. If they play it right they can turn this into a PR coup and get some bank. I just read your post on turnaround and wow guess its all about covering your ass when things fall through.

Film School Rejects : The Watchmen Lawsuit: A Tale of Two Letters

Fox could have stepped in and asserted their rights any time during pre-production or production. They only made noise when they saw it has the potential to be a blockbuster. Execs at Fox can't play dumb and say they had no idea it was in development at WB until the release became iminent. WB should fight it on principle, but due to my entirely selfish motives, I think they should just offer Fox a cut of take for better or worse. Better, presumably, due to the stink this lawsuit has raised.

Film School Rejects : John Connor is Sneaky in New Terminator Salvation Image

I can't help but think its going to rock. I mean how many movies have we all gone into saying 'it can't be worse than the last one!' T3 was one of the most disappointing sequels I've seen, and it even had Ahnold. The trailers for this look absolutely badass. I've been clamoring for the full on war that T2 gave us a peek at.

Film School Rejects : Harry Potter: Victim of Economic Collapse? Nah...

It's not going to disappear. Or is it disapparate? Either way the movies have not struggled like the Golden Compass did, and though I was surprised by Disney dumping Narnia, the quality of the Potter flicks greatly overshadows both of the other franchises.
