It seems that Apple bought "some" rights to the name in "some" countries from a foreign subsidiary of the Chinese company that is now suing Apple. Apple thinks they have the rights in China, but the Chinese company disagrees. But it's harder than hell ferreting out any information on this deal, so God only knows what the truth is. Good luck winning a court case in China against a Chinese "corporation", Apple.
