Rod, you are too much.
Stop trying to make me Orthodox, you seem more open minded than that. I like sitting next to my wife in prayers and hearing Rabbi Zierler's sermons. I have too much respect for the Young Israel's Rabbi and congregants to drive there on Shabbath.

Karin - Merkaz was what the Mechitza group called themselves in the Jewish Center before they left.

Anonymous - I am working on a posting that discusses this issue. Having 2 corporations with the same name open at the same time is dishonest and corrupt. Thank you for confirming that they are really the same word. I am also trying to get a copt if that document, because I don't post things as fact unless I have tangible proof.

I like sitting next to my wife, why on earth would I go to the Young Israel? I respect them and their Rabbi so I won't drive there on Shabbat.
Please stop trying to make me Orthodox. I love the balance in the Jewish Center and Rabbi Zierler speaks very well. The kiddush isn't the same without you.

Rod, the next time you are at the Center for prayers, stop by and say Hi.

I wasn't a key player in Merkaz, but I am involved in the Center and that is all that i can say about that. I wish things were different. Maybe one day all of you can come back and pray with us.

Anonymous. I was very upset that you guys left. Rabbi Feldman had that letter read and there was no turning back no matter how hard we tried to work with Rabbi Zierler to let Merkaz stay.

But don't fool yourself for a second. It was the Merkaz members who only cared about Rabbi Feldman and RCBC approvals that got Rabbi Zierler so incensed that we couldn't reason with him anymore. If you would have cared about the good of the Jewish Center as a whole, I think everything would have turned out differently. At least I wish it did. I didn't want to see anyone leave. You language and demeanor leads me to believe that you are one of the Merkaz members that angered Rabbi Zierler to the point of no return.

Please don't accuse me of screwing things up at the Center. You made my job more difficult so I couldn't save Merkaz.

Elie Katz's integrity impresses me. He is a local landlord. His absence from the vote and discussion is admirable and honest.

Kudos Councilman Katz! With all the corruption in NJ politics it is refreshing to see a politician take the high road.

He advertised a meeting for all kids from the township to discuss issues and initiatives they want to see.

Besides, no one is making fun of Rabbi Feldman. On the contrary. We are making fun of his congregants who do not listen to his lessons.
