Could you post more photos - maybe a photo for each of the above plants?
Why not just make the beacons come with a deposit you get back? If you bring it back you get your money back- locate them at stores that want business and leave it at that. What they need to do is concentrate on is lowering the price of these things. Ones that transmit to a satellite dish and don't cost much.
"Bone head"... your name sums up your comment.
That is so sad... What a horrible thing to happen. My prayers are with the family. Please everyone be careful out there- this weather can be very dangerous. If this happened where I think it did those are very steep mountains to climb and descend. What a tragedy!
I think the bickering is all of us feeling so helpless... You see an injustice and know that it is so very wrong- but your hands are tied. I don't live anywhere near Skamania nor do I know any good attorney's and I certainly don't know what more to do but give my support here. I just wish someone could help this family and make sure Mike is released. Regardless of what Skamania law enforcement THINKs happened - Mike should NOT be in jail and should never have been put there to begin with- maybe a hospital to run some more tests but definitely NOT in JAIL!!! I still continue to pray for the Fisher family... and I will continue to do so until someone with authority comes to their senses about this!! God be with you in this time of need. Maybe someone could post for donations to help to pay for a good attorney? Or at least to help out the family. These events hurt the entire community and the faith one has in justice for all.
Actions can mean a lot of things- yes that statement bothered me too- but now that you ask... When someone has suffered tragedy in their lives they start replaying everything over and over in their mind- and one thing they do is they wonder well maybe if I just stayed home today or maybe if I just didn't take that direction to work. You can't avoid life- unfortunately Mike was at a place at the wrong time- he was faced with people who obviously didn't mind using violence to resolve their problems. Actions... such as did Mike could have just stayed home instead of heading back to camp to get his stuff or maybe he didn't need to go hunting at all this year. Or maybe if he didn't contact KPTV then maybe the locals wouldn't have had it out for him... There is some guilt of doing anything when tragedy hits- but do we sit in our house and never leave for fear someone hurts us? Mike fought for the freedom to LIVE FREE in this country he shouldn't be scared to leave his own home. So yes if Mike didn't go hunting this year none of this would have happened to HIM- but most likely this would have happened to someone else because this isn't Mike fault - it's the fault of the guys who injured him!
I agree... you must be talking to everyone else - because all I have been posting is support for Mike and his family- If you don't like people to give support to your friend then maybe you shouldn't be on here. WHY would you want us to not post in support of Cara??? That is a very strange thing to ask as "Friend of Cara's".... Seems really odd to me. And I have only supported everything you just posted in my previous posts- I certainly wont stop posting in support unless Cara says to- she sounds pretty content with our posts- why aren't you??? You should be helping her look for a good attorney and not be telling us what to do... sounds like a good use of your time.
Has anyone tried to get ahold of a news media worth a darn? This story NEEDS to have some light shed on it!
God be with you and your family. My prayers are now and have been going out to you. The only reason I have posted anything on here is because I am completely unattached from the situation and feel strongly that there are some serious violations against your husband and your family. Continue to try to find some media resource that will look into this and at least give your story- unfortunately only a handful of people are even reading the truth on these comments instead of believing what the other media has said. I believe your husband is innocent of ANY crime and as a family your reactions to everything that has happened are normal. Unfortunately Skamania County law enforcement wants to ignore the obvious and ignore the violators that created this mess. Where is it legal to RUN SOMEONE OVER???!!! Wow.. if this happened in Portland and it was a bicyclist it would be plastered on every paper and air every 10 minutes on the news- but it is in Skamania and that leaves you with the sad situation of a crime not being punished. Stay strong for your man and your own family. I hope my prayers give you strength Cara!
I believe what she meant was "this always happens" is what always happens up hunting ANYWHERE... Hunters disregard the safety of other hunters... When you go out to an area where you intend on hunting with a rifle- the last thing another party of hunters should do is be in the same area- it is basic hunters safety. You don't want hunters nearby in the woods anywhere near where you hunt- it's not to be greedy it is for your protection and theirs. As a disabled hunter Mike was at his location to hunt and these locals came up and ran into the woods ahead of him- which is dangerous, extremely rude and childish. If you are shooting an animal and know that their are a bunch of other hunters all over in the woods near you it is not safe- In hunter safety it is called zones of fire. This is from the hunters safety book: "Game hunters moving along a trail or through cover may use zones of fire. As they change position the location of their safe zone of fire changes accordingly. Each hunter, though, knows where the other is and respects his or her zone of fire." Unfortunately there are TOO many hunters that just don't care. And good hunters are running into bad hunters more and more every year.
