This culture war started many years ago. Our children have been indoctrinated by their teachers and this carries on into the universities. Although I have always been a conservative, my son is left wing and believes all of the nonsense that he has been brainwashed with during his learning years. There is nothing I can say or do that will change his mind. The rot lies in the education system where these left wing teachers have complete control of our children's minds.

I still do not understand why we are 'negotiating' with the EU. We have left their oppressive and failing regime and should be doing everything we can to get on with our new liberation and start to control our own destiny. We have wasted enough time already. Be strong. Be assertive. Be true leaders and walk away now.

I agree. The majority are based in the South East areas and it would be far too much trouble for them to move.

The way forward for a settled community is home ownership and not renting. The councils no longer manage social housing. Private companies called 'Housing Associations' now do that job and fail spectacularly.

Totally agree with you. 100%. The boarded up shops, office buildings and empty houses need to be developed into homes first.

It has been reported quite recently that nearly one in five MPs have regular paid work outside parliament, and that 119 members were found to have declared total earnings of approximately £279,000 per month. I do not object to to private companies paying their management high wages, but I do object to elected representatives being overpaid with public money. Its an abuse of tax payers hard earned money.

What ever their past career, it does not justify the salary and expenses these MP's are awarded. If a leader of the Council earns c£35k per annum, why should an MP earn twice that? Plus the fact most MP's have other work and their own businesses. Also it cannot be denied that there is a large number of MP's who are related to other MP's past and present. Westminster stinks of nepotism and blatant cronyism.

Well 'FullFact' you clearly dont know any Facts. These petitions have nothing to do with Twitter. The House of Lords has grown too greedy and well past its best. Just because its an 'institution' doesnt mean its worth having. In the new Covid 19 world the house of lords offers zero value for money.

Clearly they dont have talent, ability or skills otherwise they would go into the private sector. They just happen to know the right people and end up with a job for life plus a gold plated pension.
