It's not the answer. Never has been. Never will be. Religious belief acts as a virus upon societies. The more religious a society, the more dysfunctional it becomes.

This kid was probably as twisted as his parents and truly believed the supernatural path was the best to take. Another shining example of the merits of religious faith.

Then you contradict yourself by saying that there is no benefit to having religious faith now, but after someone with religious faith passes, they will really understand.

What I assume from your post is that having religious faith here and now offers no benefit. The benefit comes when someone with religious faith dies. Am I following you? If so, please explain what the benefit of having religious faith has for the believer once they die. What negative impact is there for someone with no religious faith when they die?

That's your reason? Faith? Do you have nothing more to base your position on other than wishful thinking and the hope that what you were told as a child is true? How can you be so certain about your position when you have zero objective evidence to support it? Just because it might be the way you want reality to be doesn't necessarily make it what reality actually is.

Saturday, Sunday? Take your pick. Your holy book says that you are to be stoned to death for working on whichever of those two days you choose to believe is the day not to work.

Stoned to death. For working on a day that you're not supposed to be working. That's the point here. Doesn't matter if you want to believe that day is Saturday or Sunday.

Unruly kids... Stone em. Homosexuals... Stone em.
Kill. Kill. Kill.
Mixed fibers... Stone em.
Shellfish... Bury em up to their necks and throw rocks at their heads.

But those barbarous rules don't apply anymore for you, do they, Roger. So again, what good is the OT to you?
