MMOMFG : Assassin's Creed 3 multiplayer explained a wee bit more

i'm with you, jkaaaay, i think coop would be great in this game. but im against you re: the time period. i think an AC title set in feudal japan would be just massive. your character could be a ninja, you could climb pagodas instead of castles, explore 16th century Tokyo instead of Rome, throw stars instead of knives, all sorts of awesomeness. but if i had to pick from european countries, i'd def go with England over Italy.

MMOMFG : PS3 gets Bad Company 2 demo tomorrow, XBox 360 snickers

i realize ps3's had an open beta for a whlie now (and admittedly should have referenced that) but i think there's a difference between a beta and demo. one's for testing and one's for marketing. i think there are some gamers out there who would skip a beta and wait for a more polished demo experience. nutzilla - a demo is a essentially a marketing vehicle and timing it would be part of a marketing strategy. but yours is a good point, maybe its just down to something technical like how quick MSFT or Sony can get it up on their network. apologies to the ps3 fanboys if i overlooked the beta here. but my main point is the question of why these demos are staggered. im most interested in if the publishers, or developers, or consoles themselves have the final say.

i've watched one episode of mad about you in my entire life - it was where paul reiser accidentally takes a viagra and has to walk around hiding a stiffy. hilarity ensues within the "studio audience". i changed the channel, vowed never to watch the show again, and placed a curse on paul reiser that someday he'll be underwater raped by a sperm whale.

MMOMFG : Assassin's Creed 2 - The MMOMFG Review

i disagree in regards to Desmond's story being required, katie. why couldn't the AC series be made up of episodes throughout history of a line of ancestors? First would be Altair and the Middle East, then his descendant Ezio and Italy, maybe next it could be another of that line in Victorian England, or anotherin that line going way back to Ancient Greece. Just because Desmond connects Altair and Ezio doesn't mean that nothing else can do the same job. regardless, im glad you shared your perspective, if only to show how different parts of a game came can be percieved differently by diff players. TBH, i hurry through the Desmond sequences cuz i care wayyy more about Ezios story than Desmonds. By playing as Ezio more than as Desmond, i just feel like thats who you connect with and who the game should focus on. appreciate your comment big time, katie. this is a real interesting debate. And one thing we definitely agree on is that this game is freakin sweet. i really think its my game of the year.
