Sweeva Blog : The Attention Span Of A Goldfish

Hi Jon and Dan, I gave You a Thumbs Up to cancel out Jon's error. Oh well we are all human (I HOPE!!) The acronym USP is still valid, just that it has morphed a bit from Unique Sales Position into more of Unique Sales Presentation. The Unique stands out in a crowd. People will do some foolish things if others are doing it but many are very hesitant or down-right refuse to step outside the 'norm'. It is usually these people that step out that become the big winners in the long run. This is the essential trait that any entrepreneur needs, that 'Lack of Fear of Rejection or Looking Foolish'

Let DC Know : H.R. 1722: Telework Improvement Act of 2010

Hello Vincenza, I agree, we should be looking at ALL illegals. If they are here without going through the proper channels, they need to be deported so they can apply and be processed correctly. The main reason the Government is focusing on the US-Mexico border is that is where a high number of illegals aliens from ALL races are coming into the country.

Powered Production : Seth Godin on Social Networking

Hey Brad, You know that it all boils down to one thing, it's not the quantity that does it, but the quality that keeps the juices flowing. If you tried to have a conversation with a cardboard box, you would be likely to get more response than you would from probably 60% of your 'autofollowers' from FB or any other Social networking site. When you get a real conversation going, you can start to get the creative juices flowing and ideas start springing to life. Sometimes you just have to be able to chat and write down your thoughts at the same time!
Powered Production : Gary Vee - It's NOT About Numbers

He is talking about what we cover in our webinars. Big numbers does NOT a big money business make. A business (especially online) depends on the relationships you build with the people you have contact with. My recent post How do you make the best use of Video in Sales?

Hello Brad, That was precisely my point above. If you use video, keep them pithy and on topic. Good editing capabilities are a must because you HAVE to edit them to get exactly what you want and need.

Powered Production : 3 Reasons to Ignore your Analytics

Well now that you say that,...... I would say more good info on video creation, storage and editing.
Powered Production : 3 Reasons to Ignore your Analytics

Let's see..... What do I want more of? Time would be nice, but we all know that is an extremely limited supply and we never know when it will run out for each one of us. So next on my list would probably be funds. Not just for myself and my family, but enough to be able to make a positive impact on others peoples lives. I enjoy the feeling I get when I am able to help someone. Whether it is helping them understand how a website works so they can start building their own websites, or giving my time and capital to local kitchens to help feed and cloth the poor. As for the numbers, you can get the numbers to lie by applying different metrics to them so it is all about how you WANT them to look. If I have 50,000 visitors to one of my sales blogs, and discounted all the returning visitors. Then took THOSE numbers and compared the new visitors to sales, it would be easy to say that a product is currently running at a 40% conversion rate. The issue is, most of my visitors are consistent readers and return quite regularly. so if I get 40 sales out of 100 NEW visitors and not a single sale from existing readers, I could easily 'say' that the product is converting at 40%. But I am making the numbers 'lie' in my favor by pruning down the data to give me a more positive stat to show to my affiliates. This is very common practice in marketing today. I am not about more regulation, but I WOULD like to know HOW the stats are being generated when someone puts up a promotion or sends out an email touting their newest product. Thank you for the opportunity to let you know what I would like !
Powered Production : Real Work Requires Real Tools

You got the top five here Brad! Now you are all set to start a series on system maintenance, upgrades and how about one on file management? You can post on that topics for months with all the different methods people use to (mis)manage their filing system. One thing that I find funny is when someone has a desktop full of shortcuts, folders and even software! Then they ask why their system runs slow. I have seen two rows of "QuickStart' icons and a desktop with absolutely NO free space left on it due to all of the shortcuts. I have a three step backup. Two on DVD's (done weekly) and the third is an external hard drive which is a compressed clone of my internal drive. I had my system go down on me about six months ago and if it wasn't for all three, I would have lost thousands of files. Still having some issues finding certain files due to either the age of the DVD or my bad filing system (or both :-) )o.0 My recent post New Service Coming!
Powered Production : The Flip to be on the Network - next year

I think as technology continues to advance, it won't be too much longer before we start seeing high quality lapel cams. Just think of what you could do with one ! Create your own 'Man\\Woman on the street' webcasts covering daily news topics without having that huge shoulder cam staring at your commenters making them freeze or feel camera shy. Of course this could easily lead to some misuse by less than responsible people. It could also lead to some great expose's like what happened with ACORN too! I think that might make people wake up and realize that they are held accountable for their actions. Something that is sorely missing in many homes raising children today.
