Although this statement was ascribed to Ms. Obama, the article fails to substantiate it. If this headline was the result of an over exuberant editor, then sham on you. If this headline was indeed factual then shame on the editor for having text which doesn't support this and shame on the arrogant Obamas.

I recall reading a Muslim "scholar's" defense of the lack of acceptance of the Ten Commandments into Islam, despite the fact that Islam came into being after the development of Judaism or Christianity. He tried valiantly to mount a flawed and specious defense, saying that indeed Islam had incorporated the decalogue. As one of his examples, he cited the 6th commandment, "Thou shall not murder". This Muslim "scholar" claimed that the same affirmation appeared in the Quran as "And do not kill anybody that Allah has prohibited except when you have a right to kill” (6:151)". Since, in Islam Allah allows for the killing of non-believers, the Quranic version empowers the Muslim to rationalize murder as legitimized killing. More so, there are many citations in the Quran and associated Hadiths that not only provide justification for killing, but offer wholesale encouragement. Again, I encourage people to study and learn about Islam. It is not a religion that promotes enlightenment, but one that condems the individual and ultimately society to darkness and demise.

Let me add this. Modern day Christians and Jews have a difficult time coming to terms with Islamic inspired violence. As people who venerate life, we find it inconceivable that an entire religion does not share in that fundamental belief. I encourage people to read the Quran and to study about Islam. Islam means submission and it subverts the individual's sense of worth, value, and dignity. It teaches neither the sanctity of life nor the preciousness of mankind. (cont).

Forty-one years ago, one of our country's most beloved politicians, Robert F. Kennedy was gunned down by a Palestinian terrorist. That horrific crime which touched a generation and inexorably changed the course of this nation was never properly addressed. A few days ago, another aggrieved Palestinian terrorist, Major Hasan murdered scores of brave soldiers. In spite of all of the evidence, the media seems obsessed and perplexed by his motivation? Is it even relevant? Did Islam compel Major Hasan to murder? Of course not. But, the Islamic faith facilitated and provided Hasan a rationale and framework on which he could justify these heinous actions. The critical analysis of the tennants of Islam which denegrate the Kuffars (non-believers) and establish the superiority of Muslims over other people is sorely lacking in the public dialog. Until such a time that people stand up and demand that the Muslims initate a wholesale reform and redact the hateful and angry rhetoric which is directed at Jews, Christians, Gays, and Women, we will continue to suffer the consequences of their murderous ways.
