Internet Marketing Upstart : Interview with Dawie Bester

Some great information, Dawie and Luis. The program is EASY to follow but the work itself takes dedication. If you're hungry to suceed in this industry then it's a piece of cake. I was stumbling around the internet marketing industry not gaining any traction at all until I attended this program. The IMU course really opened my eyes and helped me understand what processes to follow to get from zero to hero in a matter of months. Thanks guys.

Justin Harrison : Forgotten Affiliate Linking Trick for Email Marketing

Happy Birthday Thabiso! Thanks Justin for reminding us with this little (big) nugget of info. Newbies should find it useful to start their business off on the right foot. Some of us more experienced marketers often forget these little tricks that make an interesting difference to the results we get out be it bottom line or more traffic. There's nothing like setting up a campaign and after running it a few weeks you notice that the offer has been pulled (for how long?!?) and all that traffic has gone down the drain. I just make a .php redirect file and leave it in a web readable directory like "/recommends" or more recently "/likes". I like "likes", it has a more sociable feel to it thanks to the likes big F. MJGilchrist likes this. :D

Luis Teixeira : Internet Connectivity In South Africa

That's great news for most South Africans, but I'm sure there are thousands of Safricans that WANT an ADSL line (like me) but Telkom can't a) keep up with the demand for new installations b) keep hitting technical difficulties in areas that have requested adsl enabled exchanges. I should get my line this month, but I'm not holding my breath. Will keep you posted.

Justin Harrison : The Importance of Auditing Your Business

Very true with regards to gleaning as much information from a mentor as possible and then applying it not only to your business but personal life as well. These valuable mentors that perform a information dump onto your lap are few and far between - the term scarcer chicken's teeth spring to mind. It's really to have had Justin as a mentor for the past few months. Thanks for your words of wisdom ... again.

Affiliate Programs : Removing Programs

Sounds like *Someone* needs to invite an Offerforge manager to this blog... I agree with you guys - customer service (from the affiliates point of view) doesn't seem to feature highly on their list of priorities. I've also found their campaigns to be lacking diversity - which sucks. If I wanted to promote Casinos or Insurance products I'd sign up with the folks involved directly... oh wait... I have already... same level of affiliate service from them too.

Justin Harrison : South Africans Know How to Bastardize an Industry

ROFLOLPIMP... or for the less IM literate... I'm busy rolling on the floor laughing out loud whilst pissing in my pant(s)! That was a GoOOoD post Justin and Sadly all so very true. I'm tired of hearing from all the Internet Gurus that have been so called "GURUS" for a total of a few months. Who the hell labelled them Gurus in the first place? Oh - yeah - I forgot: They're all Self-Proclaimed Gurus. All newbies following a guru at the moment take this down: "Anybody proclaiming to be a Guru is definitely not one. Real Gurus don't boast about being a Guru, their Actions speak louder than Words or hastily constructed websites." Still grinning :D
