Oh here come the anti DNSbl shills. Time for me to go. Have a nice life, and as any good administrator, try reading the links, they give basic DNS information and reasons behind it and a simple breakdown of Best Current Practices. Educating newbies on the net seems to be a un-ending task, I was around before the Internet was the Internet, dialing into a X25 PAD on a 110 baud acoustic coupler. Some people just don't seem to get why the Internet was setup the way it is, and why you can't just ignore somethings. I guess that's why there is a call for services such as SORBS and they are a pain in the arse to spammers, and people who "can't be bothered to read" (or listen.)

PS: Just because provider X, Y or Z does something one way, it doesn't make it the right way.

I know - that's because I'm on a static and I haven't setup rDNS yet (it's generic and should be treated as everything else (dynamic) when I finish the setup I'll be setting rDNS to the host names of the machine - except this IP as it will probably be 'nat-pool.isux.com' which is very self explanatory what it is.

So you ignored what I said and came up with your own theory. Quite a typical response.

Quote: "or because it has too short of a TTL"

SORBS does not list any IP because of a too short TTL, this is a common misconception. We just prevent delisting of IPs with a too short TTL see: http://talkback.sorbs.net/talkback/2010/05/23/dns...

Quote: "hold dearly the concept of presumption of innocence" the SORBS DUHL is not about presumption of innocence or guilt. The DUHL is a list of Dynamic IPs what others do with them is their issue we just provide the list. That said we do use the list ourselves and preemptively block SMTP connections from anything listed on the DUHL list (our mail servers, our rules.) Anyone listed can use our web form to send email to our users bypassing that restriction, and others may or may not have similar facilities (their servers, their rules.)

SORBS Talkback speaks of this issue http://talkback.sorbs.net/

PS: We didn't edit the wikipedia page, but those that do post bias views usually have their links removed under their NPOV policies. We put a link in the Talkback page to link here.
