Miss Jia: She ain’t for everybody… : Men's Group Calls Rihanna to Task + Your Thoughts?

I love the UK!... Stick it UK, lol Yes, because the incident occurred in California. California stature states that when police are called, or arrive on a scene where a crime has taken place, they do not have to have the victim's cooperation. Local witnesses attested that Chris Brown caused injuries to Rihanna. That was enough to bring forth charges. As it applies here: Criminal Courts operate under a different structure than do Civil courts. When someone commits a crime against another person, the victim cannot say, "I no longer want to press charges," in the state of California. The state has grounds to pursue as long as there is evidence. Chris Brown's case was against The People (State of California). Rihanna was present, with her own lawyers, but only as the victim.

As I stated, gag orders prevent people from discussing the case publicly. Chris Brown has done two national interviews, and soon to be three. While there may have been a gag order in place, on the officers, jury or even him. The mere fact that he has spoken out publicly implies that the "gag order" impose has been revoked. Yes, by leaving the scene he waived his right to explain the situation. That has no bearing on him being able to publicly state what happened now. He has already been convicted.

False. California Penal Code does not require victim corroboration/ compliance for an indictment.

Was the gag order placed on the LAPD or Chris Brown? He cannot do interviews relevant to the case at all if there's a gag order in place!

It's funny how people speak about her throwing him under the bus. Chris has had several opportunities to "tell the truth" about what happened that night. What does he have to lose? He's a convicted felon, already. My father's a DA (District Attorney), my uncle's an Attorney, I've seen many cases relative to the Chris & Rihanna debacle. What gets me is that people speculate about what happened in that car all the time. But what I know for fact is that he (Chris Brown) was only arrested. Rihanna was not. Had she assaulted him as speculated, especially first, why didn't he press charges as well? Now let's talk facts. Rihanna did not press charges against Chris Brown, the Los Angeles District Attorney did. Rihanna did not admit to assault, Chris Brown did. Her testimony was NEVER heard. The DA was still going to seek a conviction for the assault. Why? Because they had tangible, physical proof that she was assaulted (the pictures), the officer's statements. What Rihanna did ask for was leniency on Chris' behalf, remember that? Now that she's speaking about the actions of the convicted felon, Chris Brown, who plead guilty for assaulting her, she's wrong? What bus has she thrown him under? The confession is there, broadcasted all across the globe. Nope, not a Rihanna stan. Just a regular joe :)
