This is a lie! I looked at Antonio's Bio 5 weeks ago and today here it is: Antonio Ballatore, the Season 4 champion of HGTV Design Star, is ready to bring his distinct and edgy design aesthetic to HGTV audiences. With his new series, due to premiere in January 2010, Antonio will wow viewers with the same unexpected design perspective that the HGTV Design Star judges loved. Antonio, a New York native, believed he would be a rock star by age 40. While pursuing his dreams of music stardom, he spent time between gigs learning how to build houses. This experience led him to design restaurants and clubs in Manhattan and, later, design sets for world-famous photographers, including Annie Leibovitz and David LaChapelle. The problem is that the pergola has nothing to do with Antonio, yet so many People try to make it Antonio's fault with Dan being blamed! Read the posts here, all over! The others read one or two posts and think they understand the spin that is going on by certain Dan Fans and you comment like this, understand I like both Dan and antpnio, I know there was editing and posted links to prove it in Dan's favor, but people have just gone over the deep end on Antonio calling him names and personal attacks on him and the judges. The original 3000 comments were beyond opinon and at times so out of lines that its no wonder they were censored. And there is a lot of talk about this being "Rigged" a recent interview with Vern explains that it was not and they picked the winner. go ahead and attack me because you have no idea what the truth is, I have tried to put it out here, but people believe what they want to believe. Vern said it on Design star, you are mixing up the TV show with the interview, common when a spin is happening, Vern said "It was a bad choice" watch the show again I have 4 times. Another judge said it was out of place did not belong. Your article you love to quote said "SNAFU" that means a lot of things but one certain one, the pergola was a problem, Can't Dan make a mistake and not have try to cover it up? speaking of logic.

Personal attacks are unbecoming and are to just draw an argument to a different point. It would surprise you to know what I really do, this is just for fun. In reality I'm a fan of Dan's but just cannot sit back and let people smear HGTV and the other people because the outcome was not what they wanted. truth is the judges did not pick Dan, they picked Antonio and Dan will get his show, online and on TV everyone needs patients here and stop going over the deep end.

You may be correct, I was speaking of the the HGTV blog site, this whole site, not just this thread on Dan, so I stand corrected, the hateful posts are on the other thread, meet your new Design star. Still the comments about Antonio are brought up here on the thread, not my doing in the beginning.

Doesn't matter you are tying to spin what Vern said on the show and what he said later, good try, I have posted what Dan clarifies, also If Vern said "Dans Snafu didn't do him in" it just means that, it does not mean the pergola was great. Vern does not come out and say "I loved the pergola" so it changes nothing. You all are so funny to twist everything to make Dan a God! I love it. thanks for the link. I can poke so many holes in these arguments because I have the facts on my side "Dear".

Have you read the posts on here? Some say he's a drunk and Drug abuser! I think that qualifies as a personal attack! Of course you can post Antonio is a bad designer he sucks, that is not a personal attack. Genevieve said what I and my wife said, ouch! And thats her professional opinion not an attack. Why would I stop my opinion? Text book designs is an opinion not a fact. The problem here is I try to bring logic and facts into the discussion and constantly I get emotion only made out to be facts. I'm not telling to stop posting yet I 3 emails from your posts one saying just that. The Dan fans are trying to dominate the blog and never let anyone who thinks otherwise a chance. One sided and you all are trying to rig the site to be one way!

Didn't Fans help pick last years winner? SHe is awful and the worst designer I have seen to date. So Fans may need to be part of the process but to pick the winner? I do not know? While a few hundred of you will not watch Antonio, no one wants to watch last years winner and there are so many others Antonio can reach I think the ratings will show us. What will you say if HGTV makes an announcement that Dan gets a show, still not gonna watch HGTV and DAN?

So the best idea is to have HGTV go out of business, this is how to make Dan popular in the TV world? The better idea is for all these angry people who make so much stuff up on here to go farther then a boycott, start your own Cable channel on design. Based on what I read here, it will be something boring, the same design everyday, no real shows that show real life, just what you all think is "Good design" But yes lets alienate HGTV in the name of Dan Vickery, I'm sure that is what he wants. The ratings for Design Star was good and Antonio has not even had is his show yet, its next jan 2010. The ratings are slipping with the traditional designers. I can't understand how people can be so one minded and mob mentality, some people that are on here are just following the crowd, how do you think you elected Bush two times? And All I really see is people making stuff up, and "I want Dan" whining and "boycott or I will not watch HGTV" this does nothing for Dan just makes it worse!
