With all the data sheets coming out and, I belive, new rules in White Dwarf is seems to change every month. 3++ have done an Ork review so that is probably where I would start http://www.3plusplus.net/2014/08/7th-edition-orks...

I have not played a game of seventh and only a handful of sixth Edition so can not help you with advice, but I do hope you continue to blog about how you find, good or bad, the current game.

Sure cost of living and local taxes have an impact on price; it still does not justify more than a 100% increase in price.

I buy most of my Magic the Gathering cards from America because UK shops take the dollar price and try to sell the cards for the same amount of pounds. So a $10 USA card costs £10 UK = $15 USA actual cost. even with postage it is cheaper to ship them in.

If you live in Australia that is. AoBR was $90 AUD when first released, DV is $180. Inflation sucks

It sure does; $180 Oz = £118, I think I could ship two copies to Oz (via surface mail) for that amount of money.

Discount retails have got the Limited Edition up for £53 here in the UK which should be $81 Oz Dollars (plus a little bit for the extra shipping). No wonder GW stopped them shipping to Oz. Perhaps I should just sell my unwanted figures on Oz Ebay! I am only really buying it for a Rule Book.

Most Psykers are Level 1 so you have 20% of getting Objuration Mechanicum; As a secondary power I can see risking one roll on the table and settling for a useable beam power primary 80% of the time for Zoanthropes. Of course I would have to be wanting to actually trade out there natural powers first so not sure how often that would happen.

The main problem with these powers is that just about everyone has access to Biomancy/Divination both of which are going to just be better for your army. Gate is a great power but random allocation means you can not plan on having it.

Sure, however Ultramarines do not get Divination.

My standard Libby in a Rhino had Null Zone & Avenger. You can deal with Hordes or Invulnerable units.
So if you play against an army where Null Zone is of no use you can trade both powers out and still have a decent Flamer with a slim chance of getting Combustion.

Pyromancy is probably the only power that benefits from the new method of generating powers, since you can choose to use it after seeing your opponents army. If you are playing against an army, such as foot guard or nids, where you want an extra Flamer you can take Flame Breath. Of course I can not see a time I would ever roll a second time on the Pyromancy table...

I disagree with you on Foreboding. Why would you want to cast this over the Primary power? You have to cast it in your own turn not the enemy's so you are giving up on re-rolls in your own shooting phase and you still get re-rolls in overwatch and assault. Sure for the few level 2-3 Psykers out there it might get used, if they have already swapped out for the primary but even then I would be unhappy getting it.

Scrier's Gaze also suffers from the random power allocation. You can not build an army wanting the reserve/outflank re-rolls and rely on getting the power. The Mystery Terrain is nice, if you play with such things, but I see it being a sucky power for most competitive armies.

Also Prescience should say "any ONE unit within 12 inches", might confuse some readers.

I am planning on Ultra-Wolves; Null Zone and Divination together.
For about 400 points I can add Rune Priest, Grey Hunters and Long Fangs to my TH/SS Terminator army.
