This is a good use of newly acquired Marvel by Disney. Hopefully they can get Warren Ellis to write the overall plot and an issue or two.

Why would she be in it when you have Joss Whedon directing and handful of way hotter and better actresses he has actually worked with in his own projects, like Firefly ~Serenity. If this Spurs sucker is cast there is going to be a lot head scratching going on about the entire movie.

Latino Review, The Latin Perspective on all movies and pop culture : News: HOLY GUACAMOLE! SPIDER-MAN 4 HAS BEEN SCRAPPED! | Latino Review

Crime is gritty. The series need to include the Kingpin. He's a staple in the Spidey world and key to a lot of big events and big villains. The setting is New York and that's Scorsese's playground. Spidey is not gritty, on the contrary he is the exact opposite. He's like the care bears in the world of scarface. He struggles with his identity because he is just a kid dealing with real grown-up issues, that just happen to be about crime and criminals. He is the key to keeping "you" feeling light and fluffy and giving "you" the warm and fuzieys through all the bad. The Sandman character is more gritty than any of the other villains in all the movies (yeah the movie blew, but Raimi did justice to the Sandman). I'm not talking about Spidey being gritty, but rather him having to deal more with it.

Man this is a pipe dream, but Scorsese would be freaking incredible! The way he captures true grit crime and singular character development along with a real New York vibe would blow the doors off anything we've seen in this genre. Add the fact he could develop the criminal elements around the Kingpin and this would kick ass. Plus he could get De Niro to play someone, anyone in the movie. How's that for a cameo Raimi? Bruce Campbell -no thanks, I've got Bob "Are you talkin' to me?" De Niro! Haha, if only!

I don't think this is is the worst of news. Don't get me wrong, I liked Spidey 1 and loved Spidey 2 and well Spidey 3 is just dead to me. Sam and Tobey were good, but I always thought they missed something overall. I really don't mind a reboot. Too bad Cameron is going to be locked up doing Avatar 2 and 3. I would love to see his take on Spidey. Things needed to make this work: 1. A great director. Suggestions: Cameron, Scorsese, or either of the Scott brothers (Possible seconds: Spike Jonze, David Fincher, Cameron Crowe, Paul Thomas Anderson) 2. A great Peter/Spidey. Since they're looking at a younger character, I'm at a loss at the moment. 3. A really good supporting cast. Woo Hoo! No more horrible Mary Jane and overacting Aunt May! These two are really the only staples, unless they go back and don't offer Mary Jane and decide to go with Gwen Stacy. 4. A compelling story. Nuff said. 5. And killer villains! This directly ties back to the story. *6. Tie it into the Marvel Universe by having a cameo of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Gee, reading what I just wrote hits me as a lot to ask for from Hollywood. Fuck I just hope they do a good job with the movie!

Haha, the cartoon at the end is great. T-Rex, "Oh not again." We already know what happens at the end of this movie. So when the planets align the mad cow virus spreads to humans and everyone turns to zombies. Woody Harrelson survives by being a bad mutha-shut yo mouth! and kicking major zombie ass and for some reason fondling a puppy. Or no wait maybe that was the other end of days movie he just did -Zombieland. This movie looks like a rip off of The Day After Tomorrow with a bigger budget and more effects. Hopefully, it's a lot better.

I'm keeping an open mind for this one. So far the casting is pretty spot on. Neeson is a great actor, think of Hannibal as a mix between Oscar Schindler and the dude Liam played in Taken -plus he was kick ass in Star Wars. Cooper has the whole Faceman attitude and character down; he practically was Face in the Hangover. I can't speak for the dude playing B.A., but he kinda has the look, so if he can pull off the attitude he'll be alright. Now on to Copley, if you saw one of this year’s best movies (District 9) then you could see flashes of Murdock -this guy is a brilliant choice. As long Carnahan doesn't shoot the movie entirely like he did Smokin' Aces I think we'll have a fun exciting action packed movie.

Latino Review, The Latin Perspective on all movies and pop culture : News: Norton on the Avengers | Latino Review

Some of the characters would clearly need a to be re-cast. Rumor is that Spidey is due for a change after this next one. So it might not even be Maguire anyway. However, never the less, Spider-man was an Avenger as were the others mentioned. So it's not far fetched to want to see him in the movie. Even if it's just a cameo. Will it happen --most likely not. But would it be cool --heck yeah (as long as it works within a really good script). I hope the script kicks ass (Hulk ass, that is, for at least the first half, then they could introduce another villain).

In the end all actors know that this movie stands the chance of being a block-buster or a huge flop. Only time will tell, given there are several other Marvel characters who have yet to make their big screen appearances, who will also impact the Avengers film. Norton's response on being in the movie is only natural. Why would he want to say, "No way, never" and then see it being setup as one of the biggest blockbusters of all time (which in this day and age seems to last only about a week or two) as it goes into production. He'd be an idiot to turn down a potential paycheck when it's still only a pipe dream. My only hope is that Disney can play some hard ball with these other studios and get Marvels characters back. An Avengers movie with Wolverine and Ghost Rider would be sweet. Then maybe they could even pull a Spider-man and Venom cameo. Imagine the line-up: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Ant-man, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Spider-man, the Hulk (who would be the bad guy) and Venom (who could be another baddie). Yippie Kai Yai Mother F@ckers!

Latino Review, The Latin Perspective on all movies and pop culture : News: Guy Ritchie Locked And Loaded For Lobo | Latino Review

L - O - B - O. Boo Yaa! I'm not sure about the PG-13 rating. The "Main Man" deserves an R, if not an X. Lobo = (Sex + Violence) x 100. For the sake of making a film with mass appeal I see why they want it PG-13, but I see this movie (one about Lobo) as being more like Blade and Conan (both rated R). Either way I'm pretty sure Guy Ritchie is gonna film the shit outta this thing. The man knows how to shoot gritty crime movies and if nothing he can relate to Lobo's baser qualities. He did cause the destruction of his own world -he is pretty ruthless. I wonder if Ritchie is considering Jason Statham for Lobo. Or maybe Vinnie Jones. What's interesting is that Lobo's seven-feet tall and blue-skinned. So no matter who plays him he might just be done CGI. Ah shit does that mean Lobo is really a Navi and that they finally made it to Earth! We're all fucked now...

Wow, I can't believe Cameron made a Final Fantasy sequel?! A previous poster's ANALysis of the way "our" minds perceive CGI is classic. Good excuse for shitty character design. None of us have ever seen aliens either, but I sure as fuck believed the Prawns were real in District 9. Of course we need to be immersed into the world... you'll need the 3D glasses, the $14 ticket, the $19 concessions, the cold dark smelly theater, and the hundred other sweaty people mooing at the screen. Is the 3D technology advanced, sure. Is the CGI ground breaking, definitely better than what we've ever seen before. Will it all melt our brains, probably. All this being said the movie could be alright. 1. It's not a remake (at least I hope). 2. It looks interesting (even though it's in a Final Fantasy kind of way). 3. Give Cameron the doubt (until proven otherwise in this case). 4. Fuck it, it's a movie (enjoy the pure escapism)!

Latino Review, The Latin Perspective on all movies and pop culture : News: New Avatar Photos | Latino Review

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie. I have nothing against it, but like someone before posted I haven't seen a moving image of the thing. All I know is that Cameron has been making this film for over a decade, and it's about humans in space using Avatars to move around a world (sounds like a video game, no wait The Surrogates...), and that tons of people came in their pants at comic con (which is what seems to always happen when footage is shown at comic con). I'm sure the movie will be alright, but I'm not expecting anything more than G.I Joe with much better acting (and for what it was I liked G.I. Joe -sure it had its problems). I just hope Cameron has prepared himself for a huge flop. I don't want to see his movie flop, but how can any movie live up to such hype -from new camera technology, to 3d, to Titanic box-office. By the way, I wonder if they pump drugs into the air and water system at comic con, because it seems everything they ever do there is magical golden with unicorns running on rainbows fantastic.

Nice. This looks dope. Sounds like they revamped the original story, which I don't mind because unfortunately, the original story fell short. Also, if you recall Lon Chaney sounded American, not British. Which I always thought was odd since his dad spoke straight Queen's English.
