Yes, the cladding issue is very high profile in the media and that is only going to increase as time passes. Some leaseholders are already having to spend a fortune, unfairly.

Jenrick looks weak and unsympathetic. And this actually has an effect across a whole swathe of people buying and selling proprty, not just high rise flat leaseholders.

I don't see the point of her interventions really. They won't be effective because she is so unpopular, even having her name attached will make many people inclined to take an opposing view.

But maybe it's just to salve her own conscience.

I think life experience is really important in an MP. There are some exceptional, intelligent and enthusiastic young people out there, but complex decision-making takes wisdom, in my view., and many roles to fill, building wisdom.

However, men will always be testosterone-driven and push themselves to the fore.

If we have still not sorted out a deal after all these years, then clearly we can not do so. If the Brexit vote is to be honoured - and it clearly must - then the only alternative is WTO trading, with some skeletal deals on key issues of mutual importance.

These are communities which, in the main, function very differently from Britain. We are a liberal, diverse society. That's why so many want to come here. But that carries its own difficulties when trying to coral such people into rigid coronavirus rules - not possible, too many different mindsets.

I believe that when so much focus can move from vaccine roll-out and Brexit negotiations and preparations - it will inevitably move back to the front issues before this surprise pandemic arrived.

I believe attention will turn to those who have suffered most and to getting the country back on its feet.

We have not known anything like the current catastrophic situation in the lifetime of most people living now. Who could have done better? Hindsight is a wonderful thing, isn't it?

The problem is that the country is divided between those who absolutely hate and resist their loss of liberties (majority, it feels, under 40) and those who are highly risk averse (majority over 60). There is also a perception of unfairness when a place that feels totally safe has restrictions whilst another place very close by which feels unsafe has very few - despite the obvious need to keep zones large or face mass movements from restrictive towns to non-restrictive, if they were side-by-side.

It is a no-win situation. But with good news: vaccination roll-out, Brexit agreement; the coming of Spring - the country's mood will become more positive.

They would have great difficulty in presenting it as anything other than a cave-in. And I do not believe the majority of UK voters think Brexit was a mistake, despite those who voted remain trying to make it appear so. They have tried sabotage at every turn.

However, soon we will be totally out and the country can consolidate and move forwards

I totally, totally agree!

I would take it as a win for the EU, if this happened: they would get all they want. We would have surrendered what we want.
