Please help. Holding shift and clicking restore in itumes 9.0.3 is not giving me the option to use a custom ipsw. All I get is the screen for the stock restore. I have a 3G on 3.0.1 right now. I'm on windows Vista and I would like to install a custom ipsw either 3.12 or 3.13. Can anyone please help. I've tried the I hate snow software and still no luck.

Make sure you have the right settings. I installed a profile from the web. That worked for me. It was a hassel to get everything to work correctly but it is all good now.

I got it. Everything is working great. I can even tether. The t mob settings are on the web. the way that worked for me was installing the profile settings directly from my phone, then follow the directions and reset network settings. You will have to seach the web. The correct procedure is the one that has you use your phone to download the settings from the web.

you need to do a restore, update, then restore from back up, jailbreak then sycn. I encountered the same problem. Also make sure there are no hidden apps, by settings, general, restictions. Enable then disable this will make apps that got hidden by programs like catogories, avalible.

if you updated to 3.0 and not restore, update, that could be your problem. It is suggested you restore to 3.0 then jailbreak. I think there are still some bugs throughout the software but DEV team will fix them with time.
