Just a short video from a Tea Part back on the 15th. It's a good talk, so I thought I'd share. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqoOHWhNR1Q&fe...

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/16/09: Pirates Vow To Hunt Down Americans

I believe that we should use force to coerce no man for our own gain. I also believe that if a man tries to use force to coerce us, we should gut the SOB and put his head on a pike, so that all those like him should see that such an endeavor is both pointless and hazardous to one's health.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Want Public Assistance?

This is one of those instances, where I want to say "Hell yeah!", but when I stop and think about it for a second, I realize that supporting something like this is just like supporting the Pres firing the CEO of GM, or the AG of CT using death threats on their families to shake down AIG Execs for their bonus money. It all grossly oversteps the bounds placed on the federal government by the Constitution. It would be a far far better thing to simply remove the welfare program outright. Then, instead of using the abuse of such a program as the basis for gross invasion of privacy, we could instead avoid the question and the moral quagmire it entails entirety. Just as the bailouts served as kindling for the bonfire that was the AIG bonuses, so too will this "justified invasion" turn into a conflagration of people's rights.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : A Certain Talk Show Host Was On The Cover Of The New York Times

Continued from above . . . . . . We need people to call the politicians to the drum head, look them right in the eyes, and demand that they render up answers for the things they have said and done in their time in office. The more questions we ask, the more light we shine on them, the less wiggle room we give them, the more frightened they become. That is what we need more than anything right now, is for our congress critters to once again fear their constituency's wrath. We're starting to get the bark worked out, now we need to put some teeth into the bite. . . . . . .

Glenn, you're the man. You've got big, cast iron balls my friend. Loved today's show when you took Blumenthal to task for his utter disregard for the rule of law. You said what needed to be said. I am very glad that you were able to remain respectful while holding his feet solidly to the flame, and do it all to his face, daring him to seek reprisals against you. You wouldn't accept the standard non-answer equivocations, and I for one loved it. That sort of thing needs to be happening to a great many public officials a great deal more often IMO. Continued . . . . .

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Florida Tea Party Cancelled… But Why?

It's funny how when those permits were used to stop black civil rights protests in the '60's, they were evil and bigoted rules, but now that they can be used to step on the neck of a conservative movement, the big gov't folks think those permits are all hugs and puppies. I hope to God that eventually everyone who can still reason will see that the big gov't supporters are not about rules or law, but only power and control, and they will bend or break or make anew any law they please to produce their end. When you're fighting the people that make the rules, sometimes, you gotta stop asking for permission.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Organize This through 4/27

Leave the terms as they are, and limit the house and senate both to two terms or less. Two decades is FAR too long to let someone suckle at the tit of the taxpayer. In for a term or two and then right back out, with no pension or anything else to show for it. Public service should be a sacrifice, not a lottery ticket. Their pay should be low, the benefits sparse or non-existent, and the retirement package barren and empty. The less appealing the job is, the more likely people are to serve and leave. What we need in Washington worse than anything else is TURNOVER. If the faces are always changing, the politics are always in flux, and that means gridlock is likely to prevail. I say "Bring on the Gridlock!" The less they accomplish in a term, the less money they spend, and fewer rights they trample.

If every pitcher in your bullpen has beaned in a run, and every outfielder on your roster has been rendered unconscious because they ran into their fellow fielders trying to catch fly balls, and all your basemen are asleep or drunk, then yes, you do call up the rookies and see what happens. Riddle me this: If the folks in charge in DC are so damned good at their jobs, why is it that we have debacle after debacle, in every facet of government right now? The answer is one of two, either they screwed it all up because they're totally inept (in which case, regular folks with business or other leadership backgrounds could easily match and/or exceed their expertise), or they screwed it all up on purpose to push an agenda (in which case, we will be FAR better off with regular people with business or other leadership backgrounds). I'm not really seeing a downside here. There is no way that folks possessed of common sense could do any worse than the crop of fools we currently have at the helm.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Bonuses at Freddie and Fannie are now in question. Barney Frank says "hold on here"

It evaporates. Nowhere else can you make and lose money you never had by buying and selling things you never take possession of, using money you never touch. It is, for all intents and purposes, imaginary. That's why it is so vital that everyone has "confidence" in the market, because essentially, that's all it is. If people decide that the imaginary gains won't happen, they don't. It's like Peter Pan, if you don't believe hard enough, the whole thing comes apart. It honestly boggles my mind. I'm an engineer and owner of a small time manufacturing business. I only put my faith in things I can lay my hands on, which hold intrinsic value. Never been so happy that my fear/distrust of the whole premise of the stock market kept me out of it entirely.

Continued from above. Got a RINO in the seat currently? Don't give it to the democrats, unseat the RINO in the primaries and run a real republican in his place. We have got to start turning out the fools in congress, but we cannot wait until the "two sides" have been chosen to get involved. If the republican in the seat is a RINO, we need to oust them in the primary and run a real republican in their place. If the seat is already in democrat hands, we need to spend our efforts on fielding a good conservative challenger. That is the only way we will ever turn this tide around. We must systematically disassemble the liberal machine that is currently in place (on both sides of the aisle), and replace it with a much more conservative version that embraces our values. It's gonna be hard as hell to find enough honest yet politically inclined people to fill both houses, but I think it can be done with hard work and faith that what we're doing is right.

This is exactly what I've been thinking. Essentially, what we need to do, as a group, is take the entire roll of the Legislative Branch, and determine who amongst them (if any) can be trusted to stay. Once we've done that, then it's time to mobilize people to unseat these fools during their respective primaries. We all get bogged down by the two party nature of things IMO. Gotta vote republican, 'cause you know the democrat will be way worse. That's how fools like Barney Frank get re-elected term after term. Gotta vote for the incumbent, 'cause the other side's guy will be worse. What we need to do is introduce another option. That is, to remove the incumbent before he goes to face the "other side's" guy. Just because the opposition's guy is worse doesn't mean we have to field a tool as well. Continued . . . . . . .
