I have yet to see a movie in 3D only because....I really didn't want to experience a movie that way. I feel that it detracts from the movie and it's only place is at amusement parks and IMAX documentaries. Well, Pixar knows how to tell a story, not with just the dialogue, but the characters and animation. So I have to say that this is my first 3D movie and Pixar didn't disappoint. It was an incredible ride. I don't think I want to spoil the 3D experience by seeing any other 3D movie that ISN'T by Pixar. Like TDk in IMAX, I refused to see it the 2nd and 3rd time in a regular theater. "Up" was great, story, animation, music, and lighting. However imo not on the level of Wall-E, but good. The best part about both films was the lack of dialogue in some parts and letting the characters mood tell the story. Whether it be 30 min like Wall-E or the 5-10 min in "Up." If you're on the fence like I was about 3D movies, take a leap off the fence and go "Up." Thankfully the AMC theaters here only charge $9 for the IMAX ticket. If I go to the regular screen its $13. The problem is that the regular IMAX screen, they only get the crappy movies. It's at The World Golf Village which is in the middle of fucking nowhere. We got TDK and are getting the new Harry Potter, but that's it. So Star Trek had to be seen at AMC.
