IMHO, I am sticking with my launch day iPhone 4 because the 5 isn't worth the upgrade to me (repeat, to me). I've played with friends' iPhone 5's and it is indeed thinner, lighter, taller and snappier. I've not found my 4 wanting in those areas and I don't get LTE in my home, so I am sticking with the 4. Check me again when the iPhone 5 jailbreak comes. ;)

Working for me after the Rocky Racoon untether package was installed (I was already tethered on 5.1.1), much to my surprise!

Rocky Racoon 1.0-1 successfully untethered my previously tethered redsn0w 0.9.11b4 jailbroken iPhone 4. I also appear to be able to open iBooks again - finally! Thanks, Dream Team!

SemiTether 0.9.1 definitely works on for me on my iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1 (9B176) jailbroken with redsn0w 0.9.10b6b for OS X. Prior to installing SemiTether my phone was in the expected reboot loop, but boots "normally" after SemiTether was installed. from Big Boss' site: http://thebigboss.org/do-not-update-to-5-1 2) If you are on an iPhone 4 or ipad 1 or similar device, you will be able to jailbreak tethered, then install semitether to get a semitethered jailbreak. In short, this will be jailbroken but when you reboot, you will lose your jailbreak until you get back to your computer and rerun redsn0w.

Any feel for the next redsn0w release that will incorporate an iBooks fix? BTW, might be handy to mention that BigBoss' SemiTether works on iOS 5.1 devices broken with this version of redsn0w

b5 worked great, known issues aside, on my iPhone 4. Amazing what happens when you follow directions and have legit access to all the prerequisites. ;) Did a new iPhone 4 tethered (no older blobs sadly) and it works fine as well. I guess the pineapple custom logo is default for the 'Just boot tethered for now'? Does not really bother me, but I like the stock Apple icon better. ;) Thanks to the Dev Team for providing a great tool, as always. Looking forward to further betas and to the untethered tool for my newer devices.

Works for me since it takes no time to go to 3.1 first and see what Cydia has to say. Just means a few extra minutes and a couple of restores. Thanks.

Upgrade Train Already pwned my 3G and about to knock out the 2G right now with PwnageTool 3.1.4. I used redsn0w on a 3.0.1 3GS and stored the hash on Cydia. Should I upgrade to a custom 3.1, store the hash again and then once more for 3.1.2 or am I "all done" with the 3G key save?
