So, in conclusion, without repeating Radio Host comments, that is my idea. I agree with a lot of what you say, but come to a totally different conclusion. It took me a while to write all of this out. I it is enjoyed for serious thought and discussion.

4. That is because of not enough competition in the market. Most people are underinsured not because they can't get more coverage, but because they don't know that they should. That is how my car insurance used to be until I had an insurance agent solicit me for business. He explained how he could get me more and better car insurance for less. Its amazing how that can be done when insurance isn't tied to the place you work. NEITHER plan would allow us to get insurance outside of a work plan. I take that back. The Democrat plan would, but I don't want to be tied to the government either. 5. If we had proper competition (and once again, adding a single government plan to the market doesn't significantly increase competition) then those companies would go out of business because people wouldn't buy insurance from them. 6. If we had proper competition, then we wouldn't have to subsidize them. A market would be out there to get their business. I believe that is how Wal-mart started...

A few minor clarifications: 1. 50%+ aren't DUE to health care bills, but health care bills do play a factor along with credit card debt, spending beyond their means and several other factors. In the Harvard study that this statistic is cited from, medical bills over $1,000 (not paid by the insurance company) over a 2 year period were included. 2. Absolutely. I used to be in that statistic. I had the money. I didn't spend it on health care. But beyond this, it looks like the proposed republican bill is aimed to help those 25 million rather than trying to overhaul a system for 600 million people. 3. I'm in 100% agreement there as well. I find it as more of a matter of education though.

Big Hollywood : New White House 'Guidelines' Are Pathetic Revisionist History

Mr. Shapiro, I would love to see a funny piece on all the times that Obama has used the phrase "teaching moment". I sure wish he learned before coming onto the job. Teaching moment means he is learning how bad he is at getting caught.

Big Hollywood : RESPONSE TO NEA CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT: Throwing Yosi Sergant Under the Bus Isn't an Answer

They didn't even throw him under the bus. They "transferred" him to another position. One in which they won't say what he is doing. Sounds like he is getting a free ride and they are trying to make it "appear" that they are doing something. Everybody heard on the tape that they admitted themselves that they were braking the law.

Big Hollywood : At Least 6 Federal Laws and Regulations Violated By the NEA Conference Call

Ok, now this post isn't about Obama being Hitler or Stalin so all you lefties can stop right now if you are going to cry foul and all you right wing "nutjobs" please don't jump on a raging emotion filled monologue on how Obama is the antichrist. All that does is cause diversion from the truth. But the truth is, this is the same kind of abuses and manipulations that Hitler, Mussoline and Lenin used to come into power. They all got away with it because people were afraid to speak out about it until it was too late. There were clear violations of laws that were already in place, but because those that were in power were the ones committing the acts, nothing was done.

This is so rediculous. Any they are sending out a "memo" with training. They admitted on the conference call that they were crossing lines they shouldn't be during the Q&A period. I can't wait till my next vote.

Big Hollywood : Propaganda, Health Care and ACORN: Full Context of NEA Conference Call Reveals Disturbing Pattern

Shame on CNS for taking part in something like this. This is the parent agency for Americorps. To actively take an organization like this and use it as a political arm is beyond outrageous to me. As a former Peace Corps volunteer, I am glad that although Peace Corps members are openly opinionated about matters, the organization isn't actively involved in politics. That is the reason Peace Corps is so well known and well respected around the world. Americorps just seems to have problem after problem.

So, then, is there a debate at all as to the illegality of this? Will a senate hearing be started? Those were two legitimate questions that I would like to hear from other people about because as far as I can tell, it is black and white that this is illegal (we already know that it is 100% unethical and so do the participants in the conference call). Finally, if this was illegal, but nothing is done about it in the goernment, then what do we take of these new (and some old) government organizations and websites? Although it is illegal, will hackers log up and destroy serve.gov like they have been known to do with other entities in the past?
