This really helps to clarify the concept of acting as if in integrity. I was thinking of it from another angle completely. The distinction that I've made is that "fake it till you make it" is projecting a "fake" persona out into the world, while "act as if" can be authentic since it is more of an internal choice rather than an external projection. Kind of like having my higher self tapping me on the back when I'm not at my best and gently reminding me that there is a more empowering option to choose. Kind of like Tony's Pattern Interrupt by using my vision of my ideal self to interrupt a dis-empowering thought or behavior pattern and choose a more empowering one in alignment with who I really am. Cool! I will definitely start referring to myself as "Self" when doing this. I can see how that would be the "Secret" ; )

Another great call tonight! The technical difficulties were not on your end, but mine. I forgot to take the action of taking myself off of mute :-) I could hear myself just fine and could not understand why everyone else couldn't... My question was about "Act As If" I certainly see the power in it and see how it can be a powerful tool to become the ideal self in any given situation. I have always had a little resistance to it though since it feels as if I am not being authentic. Guess I'm hung up on the negative connotation of "fake it till you make it" which makes me feel like I need to shower. How do you differentiate between "fake it till you make it" and "acting as if" from an authenticity and integrity standpoint? I guess I came up with an answer for myself while on mute, but I'm still not convinced... One explanation could be that I am already that person (higher self) and only need to get out of my own way. Would love to hear all your thoughts though. BTW Authenticity is one of my signature strengths in case you were wondering :-)

Suggestion Box... It would be awesome to have an online meeting platform that would allow you to on-the-fly draw on a whiteboard and mindmap and this be viewable by the students. Does maestro allow this?

Great idea that one of the participants had about a suggested PN reading list prior to each class. Will be great to get primed with PN and ready to assimilate more of the good stuff in OL101... Thank you Brian for going so long. As always... you deliver WAY MORE than the cost of admission. I know you are independent of the good or bad opinion of others, but you rock dude!

Kind of like keeping our Optimism Batteries fully and positively charged at all times by staying plugged into positive sources. That way we are topped off when we face the biggest challenges. When we have optimism in reserve capacity, those challenges don't seem so big anymore and we have the power to move through them with a smile on our faces :-) Reminds me of T Harv's "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" where he talks about us becoming a bigger person than any problems that we may face. The bigger we are the smaller the problems appear to us and the easier they are to overcome. Optimism is the positive fuel for growing bigger... Without it, our batteries quickly become depleted by even the smallest challenges and we go negative. Guess challenge #1 is to face every challenge with optimism knowing that we will grow in positive ways no matter what we are going through. "That which does not kill me, makes me stronger." ~ Nietzsche I'd add... It's ALL GOOD!!!
