Ha ha! Totally understood. Yes, this stuff is so in the very air we breathe and there is so much counter-pressure against people 'waking up' to the damage they do unconsciously. (Counter pressure meaning all the diet talk/if only you'd try harder, etc...)

Toasts, I don't know if I'm reading this wrong or being overly sensitive, which is adding to the Big Snit I am I in right now, but I want to tell everyone in the whole world that it's not fucking personal if a fat person makes more money than you do.

I was at the bank yesterday and the person I was working with needed my salary info for a loan. It seemed like they were both shocked and offended when they saw my salary and.... Dammit, it's not the first time this has happened.

I know this is kind of First World Problems, but.... It's so depressing to me and just reflects back to me in the crudest way how deeply ingrained fat hate is/how people really, genuinely feel that they are better/should be treated better than fat folks. This attitude is partly why I am one of the only truly fat women in a professional (non-administrative) position at my company of *thousands* of employees.

I worked damn hard to get where I am and had to put up with a ton of bs like this over the course of my career and... Sometimes I get tired.
