Good work Scott. I'll add $100 to the Raptors Foundation if he gets to 2500.

Heels on Hardwood : Match Ups - Toronto Raptors v/s New Jersey Nets

Great analysis. Surprised that HU put our backcourt ahead of the Nets though! Sure, we have a better bench in the backcourt, but....

Mr Scoble is worked up because he neglected to backup his work. Quite surprising. To blame WordPress when they fixed this issue is poor form. Do you not update Windows, Office, AV, etc applications when patches come out? So why blame WP for you laziness? It you put yourself online, there is a risk someone will hack into your info. Thus, if you're going down that path you and you alone should be diligent to not only backup your work, but pay attention to what vulnerabilities are out there. Hackers will ALWAYS attack the most popular services AND popular people. Looks like he was using a old version ["2.8.4, the current version of WordPress, is immune to this worm. (So was the release before this one.}] Mr Scoble, of all people, should understand these issues - he worked at Microsoft!!

— AltRaps News : Toronto Raptors Linkage for August 21st through August 26th

The Chisholm interview is an absolute "must read". I personally believe Triano is bang on with his assessment of what the team needs to do to win. If anyone doubts Triano's knowledge of the game, please have a read. **Of course, I will concede that many coaches understand what needs to be done and IMPLEMENTATION of the system is the critical piece.** Difficult to say if Triano has the skills to get the players to perform within his framework. But I'm pleased the see the plan is very solid. I maintain last year's record is not much of an indicator. Both SMitch and Triano did not have much talent (overall) to work with. Throw in a major trade half way through and NO coach would have much of a record.

— AltRaps News : Raptors add post prescence [unofficial]

Very well said Spudz. And I'm happy to say Amir > Pops. Giving away Roko, while he may have upside down the road, is not a large loss - especially as we need to "win now". AND it allows for cap flex if we need it. Another incremental improvement - they all add up.

Heels on Hardwood : NBA Withdrawal - 10 Players Standing in the Unemployment Line

Very good points. If you are going to take the minimum, you're probably picking a contender or somewhere you're comfortable (raised in Portland, I think). Else explore Europe and considering what Klieza received, Udoka could likely get ~$3M? #ListonWishfulThinking

Great list Nat - for the Raptors (as you probably have heard from me 1,200 times), I really like Ime Udoka as there is a chance we could get him for the minimum. We should use an extra body at SF in case of injury.

— AltRaps News : Deep (bench) Thoughts

You're absolutely right. But incrementally (however small) better is incrementally better. It's also why I'm a big proponent of starting Wright to have a solid defender amongst our weakest (on D) starting line-up.
