Not listening to any political talk, or check the usual websites... Not even checking my email. I may have the Macy's Day Parade on, just to listen to as I bake, boil and saute all the goodies stacked in the fridge. We'll have a peaceful day. Of course it won't be as big as when we traveled to spend Thanksgiving with my grandparents. Most years there would be at least 45, maybe 50 of us stuffed into that little house. Kids ate at makeshift tables. Everyone brought something, pies, cakes, or that special casserole. There were always at least two turkeys. Afterwards the men sat around stuffed like those turkeys while the women cleared away the chaos left behind. The kids played. It was always a good day. I miss those times. But still, whether we eat baloney sandwiches and moon pies or a big feast, I'm Thankful for my family's health and happiness. Thankful for the little things that happen every day that make life interesting. I'm Thankful and Grateful to live in this country. There are good people in this nation on both the right and left. Tomorrow let us all pray for our country, and each other.
