The concern is people sitting at home with life-threatening conditions, and not calling 911 because they are afraid that it's not going to be covered. What happens is their condition worsens to a terminal point, and then they either die or go to the ER far too late, too late to save their lives. This just happened to someone I know on the weekend and she is not going to recover. Had she called 911 as soon as she started vomiting blood, she would have pulled through.

most ppl without insurance can only get covered for emergency visit at certain hospitals, those clinics you are describing will not take them and do not have sliding scales.

exactly, if we were paying for peoples preventative health care they wouldn't even need these visits in the first place!!

there are quite a few non-emergent medical conditions that imitate the signs of heart attack actually, even doctors initially can't always tell until they run tests. Lots of times a panic attack can feel just like heart attack, or even bad indigestion! Also, if you don't have much education/ access to internet/ information about medical conditions it might be difficult to determine if your baby/child is having an emergency, and I think most parents would like to err on the side of caution, just in care it IS life threatening. There are a lot of conditions that do not appear life threatening at all especially in children but in all ages, and in fact they are, such as a staph infection that has progressed throughout your body, you might just be having bad aches and pains and don't realize you only have a few hours to live...

oh right, that's why people can't afford to pay for healthcare, its cause they are so lazy they just can't bring themselves to work hard enough to pay for it. They are too busy laying around, relaxing and if only they would "put in more effort" all their problems would be solved. And thank you for calling these people "the screw-up community." that really is the icing on the cake.
You are so full of shit!!!

objectification is not something you can consent or not consent to. A woman does not "choose" to be objectified by working in a specific place or wearing a type of clothing (or not), it is a cultural atmosphere in which the female is regarded by men not as a human being with a life and personality and brain, but as an object that is solely intended for male sexual pleasure.

I fully agree with this, well put. Its not so much the nudity it is our culture's interpretation and treatment of female nudity and female sexuality that creates the degrading atmosphere for all women.
