I scored a microwave cookbook from like, the 50s? Maybe more recent, but...I hope not, based on the recipes. My grandma had it, so I snagged it when we were clearing stuff she hadn't moved into her nursing home with her out of her condo. SO MUCH MAYO. GOING IN MICROWAVES. and like, "wilted lettuce." UGH.

(Also, was it Jaya who did the cooking/drinking horrifying weird celebrity-endorsed(?) (or just weird?) booze back on the hairpin?)

(Also also, I met you and Matt at TCAF this spring, and was psyyyyched because you were The Dad Magazine People, and then had to explain Dad Magazine to the friend I was with and you were both actually the nicest and it was great.)

Yeah, like I said below, I think that is what happened?

But I don't think the blame for that is on those strategic voters, if anywhere I think it's on all the articles and sites and fb posts pushing it as The Way to defeat Harper, without making it clear that it only applies to some ridings?

I think part of it was that it was pushed so hard as The Thing that will Get Rid Of Harper, without any explanations in the quick blurbs about it that you'd see on fb, and news sites, and all that, about how it's really only useful in certain ridings (like, yeah, none of the downtown Toronto ones) (My girlfriend's riding lost NDP Andrew Cash for a Very Concerned looking liberal woman, and people are sad.)

Ahhh! Was just debating leaving my place for a vegan donut even though it is out of the way of everything and really I should be leaving my house to study, and my comic shop (yay for The Beguiling!) is on the way, and now THIS IS HAPPENING, because HAWKEYE!

I am stuck in what was supposed to be an exam review session, where the prof goes over sample questions (which are widely know to generally end up being THE exam questions), and a student question has taken up the last 50 minutes (literally the ENTIRE session). Just re-watching this GIF over and over is keeping me from losing it.

Yuuuuup. A friend posted the Science Babe article yesterday, and it sent me into an hours-long blackhole last night of hate-reading Food Babe things and being satisfyingly angry.
