For watches that must be the most accurate, quartz watches
and digital watches are very accurate alternatives. Since golds value appreciates
over time, it is considered to be a good venture.

I would suggest starting with Designers' Portfolio since that is a special area of our site dedicated to showcasing the work of designers. We'd love to have all of you there. And in Rate My Space too, of course. Please feel free to contact our offices, and I can provide more information. Email: blogideas@hgtv.com. http://www.hgtv.com/designers-portfolio/main/inde...

Hi Helen, kudos to your daughter and son-in-law! I can't imagine maneuvering a bike along the streets of Manhattan, but it would be awesome to have that kind of skill and fitness level. Are you in New York? Walking there, I can do. With pleasure :-D

Design Happens : White vs. Multi-Colored Christmas Lights: The Debate Continues on Rate My Space

I'll start. I have to say my Christmas trees and garlands of late have been covered in clear lights. I love the look of white light. You can pair it with any color decor. However, this year my husband surprised me by trimming our 4' tabletop tree with multi-colored lights and a mix of ornaments from both our collections, including a few that we've begun collecting as a couple. I love it! So festive and fun. And new. Sometimes, there's nothing better. Happy Holidays, everyone!

Design Happens : Blog of the Week: House of Turquoise

OK, I'll start. My favorite color is green. All shades of green. It reminds me of the outdoors and nature - one of my favorite places to be. And it can do wonders inside a home as well. My husband and I were inspired to paint our kitchen a bright lime-ish green, and we love it. It's vibrant, fun and unexpected. Erin, thanks for sharing your love of color with us. Did I tell you that my home office is turquoise? I love it, but it's a work in progress. I will be browsing your sites for fab finds. :)

Design Happens : Live from The World's Longest Yardsale

Chad, I have one more tip! :) Travel with people you get along with. Very impt. - especially on a road trip. I mean, you're stuck in a car for X amount of miles together, and you're kind of relying on each other to yard sale well: be considerate of your fellow treasure hunters. Agree on meeting times and stick to them, etc. etc. Oh, and share your snacks. :) I didn't even pull out my car candy. Kelley brought great snacks. And we munched on yummy food finds. What a great day. We had a great group. Thanks for the adventure, guys.
