/Film : The Buzz: Terminator Salvation is Horrible OR a Solid Summer Action Movie

I thought the movie was fairly entertaining and worked well as an action flick. That said, I am very disappointed with the end result. This film had so much promise that was ultimately left unfulfilled. Hopefully T5 will bounce the series back.

/Film : Early Buzz: The Road is "The Most Important Movie of the Year"

I'm ecstatic to hear this news! The Road is one of my all time favorite novels and it is very satisfying to see it received the treatment it deserved. I was hesitant to think any filmmaker could capture the tone that Cormac McCarthy sets in his book, but these reviews seem to extinguish my doubts. Way to go John Hillcoat, you actually did it!

/Film : Early Buzz: The First Official Reviews for Pixar's Up

This is great news. I still remember defending this movie against all my friends. Good to see that Pixar immaculate or near-immaculate (depending on who you talk to) record is still in tact.

/Film : Who Will Direct Conan?

None of these choices seem preferable except for McTeigue. V for Vendetta was amazing and I would love to see him attached to Conan. If I had to choose one of Lionsgate's choices I would certainly go with Marshall because the Descent was a fairly scary movie, minus the cheesy cave creatures. Gans failed to impress me with the lackluster Silent Hill. The tone he set was certainly creepy but the story drags, especially towards the end. I say no way to Nispel. After watching Pathfinder I cannot believe he could make a descent Conan film. So hopefully it's Mr. McTeigue... for Conan's sake.

/Film : American Gladiators: The Movie?

No way. It is clear with the recently unsuccessful "reboot" of the American Gladiator TV series that the public is not interested. Upgrading the Gladiators with a new age attitude just does not work. Leave American Gladiators a retro TV show... because it was a beautiful thing

/Film : Why You Probably Shouldn't Waste $5 More For Digital IMAX

This is horrible news! I have only seen one major motion picture (The Dark Knight) in IMAX. I was looking forward to having my second viewing of Star Trek in IMAX this weekend. But with this spread of knock off baby dick IMAX screens I could certainly see a decline in public interest. IWord of mouth will cause a decline in reputation for the entire IMAX experience which hopefully will result in the abandonment of these IMAX digital screens.

/Film : Footage from Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Could be OK at best. However, I am still perturbed that Jake Gyllenhall was cast as the PERSIAN prince. Hes a white guy! Also the fact that Jerry Bruckheimer is attached to this makes me weary... he's only concerned with pumping out cash cow franchises (Pirates 2 & 3 for example)

I agree. The movie evoked just about every available emotion I had. Certainly not typical of a summer blockbuster.
